hey me and a few buddies are going do go out and do our first outdoors survival trial deal my plan is to bring 3 camelbacks a knife and a medical kit, inform a few people that we are doing it, and keep an emergency cellphone battery, any advice?
@theandyherbert It kind of depends on the terrain, weather, ecosystem., etc. Are you familiar with the local area you'll be in... such as water locations, flora/fauna, weather conditions? Generally, after my students take my Primitive Core Basic, at the next level they face basic survival hardships and are allowed the following gear: Poncho, Poncho Liner (or blanket, deer skin, etc), Water container, Knife, 20' of cordage. Allow yourself at least that much the 1st time
@TheHumanPath thanks man ill be sure to do that next time! this time turned into a not so macho camping trip that was pretty boring i presented him with a short list of items that we were bringing and before i knew it he was going camping and it turned out ok. i plan on going full woodsman this weekend in the back of my neighborhood!
wow....what a cool idea..how clever....now that's somethin' new to me and i really appreciate you sharing it !! I live in Arizona and there's plenty of prickly pear around here for sure !
I apologize for the top of my head being cut off in most of the first of this. I was filming myself for the first time, and didn't have enough battery left in my camera to make sure I got it right the first time! :)
