I don't like when they actually hurt themselves badly. Like the first clip, that ended her gymnastics career, and it wasn't time yet for her to stop. If it is a 'normal' crash it doesn't really bother me as much. Gymnastics taught me how to fall and that has saved me many times after that as well. It isn't fun to fall, but at same time it is a risk you're willing to take to get that extra bonus point and maybe win the gold.

You do have to remember any vaults from the Syndney Olympics were mostly do to the horse being set at the wrong height(this really messes up vault which is why they use the new vault horse now)it also made many top gymnasts lose out on medals do to falls on vault.

Coming from someone that used to compete in gymnastics when you fall it doesn't matter if you hit the mat or the foam pit it hurts. You can permanently injure yourself doing gymnastics. I never understood why people laughed at us when we stumbled or messed up

Some of these clips are more than mere "falls" like for example the first one, she snaps her ACL in that vault and that ended her career. A few other clips are young women who actually hurt themselves quite badly...a fall and a fall resulting in a serious injury should not be put together... Falls you can kind of laugh at, but not the injury-ones...that is just mean

The first girl is Ekaterina Lebazniouk from Russia,she was an excelent gymnast but that fall damaged her knee so bad she had to be carried off by her coach in agony and it ended her gymnastics career.

i know im replying to a comment from 9 months ago, but those vaults are from the 2000 olympics where the vaulting table was set at the wrong height causing most of the gymnasts who were not under 5 foot (which was a lot of them) and some other gymnasts too, to mess up their vaults, due to the fact that they could not correctly punch off the vaulting horse cause it was too low
