I worked on this movie. The buffalo were trained to fall down when shot by high-powered but harmless cork guns. Samson knew to pull his kick and the wolf was given the command to roll over. The cougar and the racoon were raised together and liked to wrestle. Wasn't same racoon that washed away on the ice. No big deal cause we had several racoons. The feller at the end that got trampled was a hobo we picked up on the way. I'm not sure what we did with him but he probably wasn't missed by anybody.
