  • YES, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I used to listen to this story on cassette (back in the day), I loved hearing it again, but my favourite is still the shoe tree

  • I'm 31 and I remember them the same way you guys do!!

  • Are Malcolm Livingstone or John Sheridan still alive? I have plans to revive one of their stories on a big scale, but want to do so legally (with their permission and consent, and so forth).

  • yay!!! this was my favourite... The fucked up thing is i actually remember this more or less to the tee. AAARGH!!! PMSL

  • over in nz, its called Story time, and i have most of the tapes. including all of these aldo stories

  • this has made my day cant wate to let my kids hear this i loved it as a kid!!!!!! thanks so much

  • It's funny how everyone who seems to love these story tellers falls within a fairly specific age bracket 32-34, my elder sister (3 years) and younger brother (4 years) don't remember these as fondly as I do - age 32.

  • @TheDSTUART

    Indeed...I'm 33 from Italy...same story here :)

  • @sireltar I'm 33 from Scotland, the Story teller magazines are the most evocative relic of my childhood. I swear I remember many of the stories word for word!

  • I think its brilliant that you and other people have taken the time to upload these and other stories from the storyteller series. Due to the age of the tapes, some of mine are very worn.............

My kids are very happy now they can listen to you-tube whilst looking and reading the original books...... : )

  • @Lphixdj wish I still had the original books. 23 years old and i remember all of these. I was further ahead in reading comprehension than most of my classmates because of these books/cassettes.

  • I'm 5 again. wonderful.

  • Wow, what a blast from the past, made me beam from ear to ear. thanks for your great work.

  • You've just made a 33 year-old man cry with joy. I'm a children's book illustrator now, I think Story Teller may have something to do with that!

  • the cassette tape collection along with comics were golden. There was even a red suitcase to keep the tapes in?

  • right still

  • @bowlochile Omg thats right and the second volume had a blue case for the tapes , I cant beleive there are SO many people my age that looking back with such fondness on this magical childhood memory . We were so lucky to have this

  • Love it! Aldo was one of my favourites.
