  • the model's lips...eh

  • i love how she wears glasses not contacts and she seems so friendly

  • i like how she uses lots of different brands of makeup

  • she just made the girl look greasy!!!

  • 8 steps too long...next!

  • I've never noticed the "glow"...I always think it looks more greasy than dewy or glowy. But that's just me.

  • Too glowy for mee

  • she is going to sweat all that off

    2 many creams!

  • I didn't think the model was annoying. God forbid one of these models actually let their personality through while they're sitting there.

  • It's call glowy. Sometimes matte look can be too harsh. I like this look as a make-up artist. It's fresh. If you want it to me a little matte, try dusting lose powder only where you need it liek forehead, nose and chin.

  • that was awesome :)

    5 stars.

  • She looks SO gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi Fatima here...Thanks for watching my videos. I am creating some new videos for next year and would love to know what you would like to see.....

  • i have to try that!! :D

  • I love that girls accent :) ugh and her fave GOSH why are people so fortunate :P well yeah Fatima is the greatest :P

  • someone give fatima olive her own show!

  • ahgreed :]

  • what is that shimmery cream that she put under her eyebrows

  • something from prescriptives thats all i know!

  • It is moonbeam by perscriptives in golden arc

  • Haha that's the same mascara that my mom uses..sometime si use it 2

  • Hi Fatima,

I would love to wear a sheer color on my cheeks to flush my complexion, but i always wear tinted moisturizer with concealer on top, and if i put any creme blush over the base, it rubs off my concealer. Then my acne spots not only are visible, but they are emphasized by the extra redness from the blush. Do you have any suggestions about how I can create a flushed tone?

  • i have the same problem ..i have some pimples on my skin and ya getting a flushed glow is practically impossible if you dont have flawless skin

  • Why don't you try translucent powder after you've applied concealer. Wait a minute, then try the blush.

    hope this works x

  • woow.

    this one is amazing! =D

  • hi fatima! why didn't you use any powder on her, just foundation? is it necessary to put powder after a liquid foundation?

  • Hi Fatima I'm of Indian escent and have dark brown skin. I find most colours either don't look good on me or lose their pigment once applied. Which makeup brands would you reccommend for darker Indian skin tones and why? Please explain as I really need tp know where to start. Thanks.

  • Hi Fatima! I love all your videos. Kudos to a job well done. :D

  • Hi Fatima, i was wondering if you could show us some tips on how to use white eyeliner, every time i try i end up looking like a ghost! Absolutely love your work. Thank you

  • Hey Fatima,

I love your videos, they are really good, and you explain really well which makes it seem so easy.

But I had a question. I have a very sensitive skin that dehydrates quickly,

and I was wondering if the products you recommended would be good for a skin like mine?

Thanks a lot! Please don't stop making these videos!

  • Thanks I am glad you like the videos.

With sensitive skin I would say to be cautious of new products, what is it that you are sensitive to?

Ingredients, pigment, fragrance? First figure that out....

Tint moisturizer like I used is great for your type of skin because it helps to replenish moisture....just make sure you are using a great skin care line first before any make up, it will enhance whatever you do.

  • fatima olive makes things look so easy and she's got a nice voice that grows on you, that you won't feel like she's talking too much! =)

  • whats the makeup you put under your eys to make your mascara show more?

  • Under the eyes I used Tarte Lock and Roll eye shadow Duo in Golden Bronze Shimmer.

  • Just found out that smashbox doesn't have that Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion in glare!!! it has been discontinued.. sad but diffuse and glow is still pretty good!!

  • She looks greasy, yuck

  • I used Prescriptives Traceless foundation, Smashbox Artificial Light, Benefit Realness of Concealness, Smashbox O glow, Prescriptives liquid eye shadow , Tarte duo eye shadow , Stilla Smudgepots, Clinique High Definition Mascara, Philosophy lip gloss pallete ,Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick. Can you give that smashbox exact name like was it glow, diffuse or prism??? thx

  • I used the Prism shade of Artificial Light from Smashbox mixed with the foundation.

  • Hi Fatima,

Can you name the products you used??

I particularyly LOVED the smashbox clear thing?? And I also loved the shimmer.

But I didnt' catch the names!

    Thankyou =]

  • Bellas, Fatima already posted such a response. Look back at earlier comments on this video by AskFatima for the answer.

  • mst of these products can be bought at Sephora. i just bought my smashbox on-glo there yesterday. i've tried it, it's really good.

  • Can I buy Smash Box stuff on the net?

  • I think you can buy it from Sephora

  • I just tried this and i love it!!

  • Not your usual 'run of the mill' tips from makeup artists that everyone knows.. this is really great stuff! :) Thank you Fatima!

  • thank you,very beutiful :)

  • Hey Fatima, that was truly amazing yet so simple!! Please could you post more videos.

  • Any advice for people with shiny skin? I don't wear makeup because of my oily skin.

  • Hi,

Okay a couple of things for oily skin.

First remember that oily skin ages the best so eventually what was a challenge becomes an asset. Second take a look at your diet because what we eat has a direct impact on skin. Also make sure you are not overstripping your skin of oils because that causes the skin to over produce oil.

  • Last if you want to use a shimmer like the one I used in this video only use it at the temples and top of the cheekbones. There are some great products formulated for oily skin at both Department store as well as Drug stores.

  • Thank you!

  • better leave natural face..no need makeup chair at all

  • Hey she has my name. xD (I'm gonna send this to my sister)

  • wow. what a difference! I mean, that model was gorgeous when she was natural, but that makeup gave her a total extra diva look.

  • is fatima a ford model?

  • its kind of obvious she is a make up artist that puts make up on the ford models. in the description of the vid it says she is an artist

  • No I am a makeup artist with the Ford Agency

  • thanks, I like how you're so "real"

  • Great, she now looks like a decepticon.

  • With all the prurient videos on YouTube, I watched this whole video! Fatima you made perhaps the least interesting subject for me, really captivating.

Well done! Great presence... you model as well?

  • I just spent three hours and I ain't got a crumb of that dinah-moe, dinah-moe, dinah-moe hum.

  • Think I could I interest you in a pair of Zircon encrusted tweezers?

  • Are they heavy-duty?

  • Of course... I'll even sterilize em.. gimme yer lighter.

  • The forty-dollar bill is yours. Thanks!

  • I love that the model actually interacted with the makeup artist! Haha, most of them just stare blankly off into space while they get worked over.

  • i love Fatima. she's actually my cousin and it's kinda funny that her personality shines through even on camera. she's wonderful with make up and i really admire her. i love you Fatima!! =)

    - Brianna

  • Bri,

    Thanks for the kind words!!!

    Fatima

  • her bones hahahahaha

  • Wow the model has GORGEOUS eyes. LOVE her looks.

  • I love this look!!! I'm so inlove with the eyeshadows. I'm a sucker for cream eyeshadows.

  • Fatima rocks! She seems like the nicest person and her application is perfect for that natural glowing look.

  • Wow, that model chick already looked great.

I loved the steps but a little too much. I'd

still do that kind of stuff though. Great vid!

  • stila smudgepots are great, if you guys havent tried them yet.

  • this is soooooooooooooo long! this is a lot of steps for everyday

  • after the makeup, does the person's name change also?

  • shoppers drug-mart sells smashbox, girl.

  • omg! that smash box blush thing... i want it!! i dont think they have smash box in Canada do they?

  • do you have sephora stores in canada? because if you do, you can buy smashbox there. or try ordering it online. :)

  • thanx

  • your welcome. i love sephora!

  • if anything, you can buy it offline. from sephora's website. umm.. what's great about it is that it's like a one size fits all, so you won't have to test it out, or worry about getting the wrong color. it brings out your own personal natural blush color.

tested it at nordstroms, and the girl compared her color to mine, both different, and way cool. i'm a little on the broke side right now, so i can't afford it, but my next paycheck, i'm definitely getting it.

  • oh thanx!

  • damn see's hot (model)

  • Thx Fatima, it is really nice. I love smashbox and benefit also. So bad now i moved to Germany and it has no smashbox products here.... :(

  • Any great makeup lines there that we don't have here???

  • Hi Fatima, I think Aemrica has the most great brands. In Germany, good things can only be found in big cities. I also cannot by NARS here... so bad so many barnds still not offer online shopping.. Your video is great, please take more!!

  • but omgosh how much would it cost >.<

  • she has great skin

  • It's totally mesmerizing but after five minutes of wearing that goo my face would be splattered with dust, bugs, and sweat. Perhaps nature and makeup don't go well together.

  • can u give a list of the products that were used? like specifically the names..?

  • Sure!

I used Prescriptives Traceless foundation, Smashbox Artificial Light, Benefit Realness of Concealness, Smashbox O glow, Prescriptives liquid eye shadow , Tarte duo eye shadow , Stilla Smudgepots, Clinique High Definition Mascara, Philosophy lip gloss pallete ,Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need and more info!

    Thanks for your comments.

  • thanks for answering! i love the look u made i defenitly want to try it

  • Haha, I felt like that entire thing could easily be turned into a Sephora promo.

  • Just wanted to let you know I am not affiliated with any make up company. These are all products I really like and use.

  • I really liked this video because that's the look I go for a lot... I like how you're descriptive and actually give the names of the products! You should do a video and try to do that type of effect from normal makeup brands (that most of us can afford :) like Maybelline and so on.

  • I have done some other videos incorporating both department and drug store products.Keep and eye out for them. I will work on putting together a video with just what I call steal products. Is there anything in particular you are looking for maybe I can make a suggestion.

  • well i love anything that gives me shimmer on my face, but not too much. also a tinted moisturizer that still gives some coverage... i HATE foundation because it's so heavy but a simple powder doesn't give me what i'm looking for. but i think the most important thing is if it will stay on. loose powder always looks great right when you put it on but after about an hour you can't see it anymore

  • I just realized that I watched 6 minutes about makeup application, I feel gay now D:

not meaning any hurt to females or males who are into makeup

  • i love these ford tips!!

  • pretty. =]

  • Wow! As an average joe, I love how easy she makes it look!

  • wow great tips, thank you Ford!

  • OMG! I never thought of mixing shimmer with foundation! Wow..

  • Wow clear, but could she possibly use any more products.

  • I love how professional she looks in her white coat w/ the glasses and how the model looks interested at the product, it made me laugh out :D

  • By the way I really need those glasses to see!

  • btw, it wasn't meant as an offense ;)

  • Thank you, I think I am a better makeup artist than a clothing stylist. That is why I am usually behind the camera.

  • beautiful xo
