It seems that the number of foreclosures and bankruptcies were climbing at an alarming rate when I went through my ordeal in 2003-04, yet nothing was being done then to stop the predatory lenders and fraudulent practices. Then the government dumps billions on the banks to help solve the mortgage crisis and I still see no improvement. I still say crash the banks and get rid of our debt-based economy.

I sometimes share my videos with various media outlets and sometimes they give them attention, but I rarely if ever see the results. One friend said he saw me on TV in another town and I had no idea I was there. I don't even know what the blurb was about.
In New Mexico, $600 originally was offered but the final payment was $1,200 because half of the plaintiffs opted out. I accepted because I had heard Ameriquest Mortgage at the time was considering bankruptcy. I'm not sure that happened and I'm not certain about the status of the company.

You said it all in a nutshell. Bah on credit. Bah on banks. Bah on corporations. Bah on the healthcare system. I have creditors call me every day and every day, I hang up on them or ask them WTF do you want? I give 'em hell and hang up. I have never declared bankruptcy and I never will as they won't get a flipping penny out of me dead or alive.
They have screwed my credit rating, but credit creates DEBT and I want no part of it. Screw them! Screw their phone calls! Screw them ever getting a penny back!

it is sad how things turned out in the 21st century and it will take a lot of energy to do something about the state this world is in since the bush administration but I still believe that we can achieve it if there is a WILL!!!
So do I. In spite of being shot down (well actually just a drive-by bullet that went thru my office window and lodged into the wall next to my desk, and well, when no one was there at that exact moment) and losing a great newspaper, I think I do pretty good as the Come Back Kid and now I'm loving You Tube more than any thing I ever did in my life, despite the lack of any financial gain whatsoever. And that matters NOT. I prefer to pay NO taxes and to remain noncomplicit.
