@Somarinoa i lost both my grandparents on my moms side. i realy didn't fell anything when my mom's dad died, the only time i was around him was when i was young, & i don't rember much from before i was ten. oh, & my grandma on my dads side is above 80 years old(she dosn't look a day over 60) & is curently a great-great-grandmother to my cousins grandson, aka my 3ed cousin. so far shes the only living great-great-grandparent(to anyone) i know.
Bulbapedia, (or rather Bulbanews), a Pokemon website, had an article on the origin of the fossil Pokemon Cradily and Lileep, with a link to this video in reference to the fact that crinoids are actually able to move when they have to....
I too was linked here through a certain Bulbapedia article. Incidentally, Lileep and Cradily are some of my personal favorite Pokemon. This is all very interesting stuff, I am glad i took the time to read up on a bit of Crinoid history, i learned a lot.
@gbaby689 I'm just like you. I love everything about animals. when I'm not wasting time on video games, I'm on wikipedia, reading about animals, I'm even eleven as well! Crinoids are my favorite marine speicies. Who knows, years from know, we may be collegues at a marine biology university.
Some photographic evidence suggests that in the wild these crinoids are knocked down not by starfish but by sea urchins. The crinoid bits found in the sea urchins' stomachs only add to the story...
I just learned about this video when talking to my geology professor about crinoids, and it was mentioned that they are still alive today, and then he mentioned about the fact that these animals actually can disattach themselves and run away, if in danger. I believe it was a starfish that had threatened this one! Amazing!
silly me, I was actually looking for Crinoid videos. Never heard of Bulbapedia.

you know, it always annoyed me that Lileep and Cradily were grass type even though sea lilies aren't plants.
