How many time have I seen this when I entered my own hand into the mosquito cage in the lab, to blood-feed the females, and this video is still amazing.

You can see beside of the swelling abdomen the mosquito sting.

The needle itself covered by the mosquito lower lip (labium). You can see it folding backwards as the very thin needle is going into the skin. The needle is made by six drilling tiny saws and a sucking tube.
