IBM, please make an app like this for my supermarket that includes their full inventory and location of those items.
The first player to dev a mobi app that let's me find a particular food on my grocer's shelve will make it rich! That's because grocery stores don't have an inventory of their products, so when you ask customer service if they have potato starch or edamame (sp) they are unable to assist you.
It would be cooler if you had an app that you could add lables on your stuff at home, then when u look around with the camera it will remember where all the items are.
This is amazing. I can't believe a phone can do this and all people can say is that the UI is slow or it uses battery. search for 'everything is amazing but nobody's happy' on YouTube to see what I'm on about.
@ charbax. Finding friends or kids etc is already available through Google Latitude. I think IBM copied a up coming technology from MIT. Its called sixth sense. type the term on youtube search
IBM is awesome! This is probably one of the most awesome Android applications developped so far.
Imagine walking around with augmented reality right inside your sunglasses (using some kind of video-glasses connected to an Android phone).
IBM should add to that a layer of social networking such as find your friend, parents could find their kids (as long as each child has an Android in the pocket), find and chat with friends, chat with all the other people watching the same match...
No you cannot. Iphone does not have overlay for the camcorder mode. Iphone does not have an electronic compass. iphone is not Open source. iphone app store takes too much time to authorize new applications that have to be vetted by Apple.

Hi, can you show the Seer in action during Wimbledon? I'm interested in seeing how the live, dynamic data is displaying.

Yup but you cannot look at Google Latitude through the camcorder mode, thus with an overlay interface on top of the camcorder mode.

that UI is too slow, should have done it on an iPhone 3G S

Would you shut up?
The ui is not slow.
Apple fanboys really piss me off.

don't worry there is a faster Android phone coming out soon. Unfortunately the UI is still Java so will never be as fast as the iPhone.

Can you say battery drainer?
Jesse1Chait 2 years ago
You can buy more batteries, and swap them. Or get a more power optimized Android device to use it on.
