my sister went to see level 42 and i think curiosity killed the cat were supporting and they got booed off stage as they couldnt play live, unlike level 42 who everyone had come to see. mark kings bass is par excellence and chest high!
Mark had several Jaydee basses built for him by John Diggins that included the first one he bought in a music store,( his No. 003SA in cherry red with Saturn/cresent inlays), white Starchild, an 8-string(as seen above) , a second cherry red(seen on the Live at Wembley concert), a Tobacco-sunburst(given to Verdine White of E.W.& F. by Mark), a pearl pink model, and a pearl blue(with star inlays and l.e.d. lights). Also, a birthday Jaydee Calibas that was made for him in 1994 as a present.
Absolutely, I can't make head or tail of what many of todays bands are singing about and I don't think even they themselves really know either, it's all a load of what I can only describe as mis-mesh that's ambiguous and open to interpretation, songs like Livin' It Up on the other hand were crystal clear, everyone knew what they were saying, it was easily related to and it was one of the best and most creative songs of that decade, it would take a lot to beat it in any decade.
Im sure that this is the one they were miming in. thats not to take any credibility from their awesome talent as i know they would of prefered to actually perform and sing live. they are ace!!
Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuune!!!

This is the only time I've every seen Mark King's infamous 8-string Jaydee being played (or in this case, mimed). Look Ma! No cord!

One of the rare times that MK played an 8 string bass....awesome !

Very rare to see him playing the 8-string Jaydee. Bigfoot has been filmed a million times compared to this.
