@thespecialist429 I own one, and I want to say yes, it is thinner...if i remember SG necks are quite thick, and these are actually relatively thin

@thespecialist429 I haven't played a blacktop yet, but a SG faded has one of the thicker necks out there and I have read that the blacktops have thin necks. If you're looking for something with a thicker neck then the Fender 72 deluxe reissue has that.
