  • I downloaded X and I'm now looking for Youtube tutorials to figure out how to make this piece of crap work. Anyone?

  • @VelvetHammer2000 Get your money back! It's designed for grandma's to use. Go back to version 7 or dump FCP altogether. Apple is getting out of the editing business

  • @jamieroko Already have an Avid Media Composer 5 and Final Cut Studio... This Final Cut X is shit. It's completely missed the mark.

  • 3/10 the price. And 3/10 the features.

  • WORSE much worse than FCP 6 or 7 I rather have FCP 3 at this point!! Please save your money and wait for Apple to fix all the bugs and missing features. No multi-cam editing SERIOUSLY. I've played with it for 2 hours and it crashed 3 times! From a guy like me who uses Maya, After Effects, Boris FX and Cinema 4D

    This version is a JOKE!

  • @digitalexposure1 im with you on that bro. The sure f'd it up bad.

  • sooo cool~

  • ^_^ Silly comments galore, you "movie directors" really ought to know better... oh, hang on, you're NOT movie directors? That's right, you're just a bunch of internet twits with big opinions and little intelligence. STFU, use whatever you wanna use, and stop acting like utter imbeciles ^_^

  • I don't care if it can do stuff automatically as long as I can still do it manually. hate the new layout though I love scrubbing.

  • Apple believes British accents and news media coverage is enough to keep their products competitive.

FCPX is still behind Avid, Adobe and Sony.

  • @dinnerandashow Dude I have been an AVID editor for 15 years now, and a FCP editor since it came into the scene. I absolutly love the new FCP and it's features/look.. But Final Cut Pro 7 is absolute shit!

What these little high school kids don't understand is that there's an actual world entitled "professional systems" out there. AVID techs will always come out with something WAAAAYYYYY BETTER!

  • We need someone to do an unboxing or review of our new digital white balance / exposure product - works with FCP lightroom, video, DSLR, etc. See us at digitalimageflow(dot)com - we will ship you a free one if you are interested...check the listing for new product (DKC-Pro) on our home page and contact us

  • Apple is quickly losing me as a loyal user... this is a dumbed down NLE aimed at bringing in more of the prosumer market. Get ready for more "editors" running around with their Macbook Pros and latest version of FCPX offering their "editing" expertise... Look! my magnetic timeline slides around!

  • @popaddict I have been concerned about that as well. I am not sure that this is what this is though. Just because things are becoming more user friendly does not mean that they are being dumbed down. It may be.. but that is not clear yet. I am sure there will be growing pains with this re-write of the app.. but I am starting to feel like this is a step in the right direction.

  • Apple takes the "Pro" out of Final Cut? Auto Color Correction on import? Who's that aimed to - camcorder/phone user or wedding shops.

Yes we've all be waiting for a 64 bit, 4K, no rendering, but without a clear delineation between the Pro and the Express/Imovie package, Apple is doing a disservice to we professional editors who have chosen FCP to specialize in.

Yes, Apple is in the Wow look what we can do business, but what about my business? What if my clients will hire their teen nephews.

  • way to much hatred going on here.

  • idk the interface looks consumerized but the features are good.

  • Perfect

  • daaaaaaaaaaaamn

  • Cool feature.

  • When i first saw the interface i was a little bummed out but i'm liking these new additions to the program

  • Thanks for sharing this brother. Do you have any others?

  • What Apple notebooks are available that could easily run this?

  • @ar4216 A 17inch Macbook Pro would work very well with Final Cut Pro X. It's a Quad-Core, and has the new 2nd generation i7 processor. More than enough power to comfortably run it.

  • i wiil for sure enjoy this new version!

  • I wish they could have just incorporated these cool new features without killing the familiar interface. People will run from this because they won't know how to use it.

  • @vanawesome

Yeah... what aSUPERB idea!! Keep a TWELVE YEAR OLD INTERFACE just because some people are to thick and scared to actually LEARN something! Especially since FCP was RENOWNED for it's modern, powerful, well organized interface, huh??

Anyone who is retarded enough to "run from this"... good riddance. I hope you feel all snugly in your safe little cave. We'll be over here enjoying and looking into the future, excited about change and not mindlessly, desperately clinging to the past.

  • @lin2log I agree with @vanawesome and I appreciate change.

  • @purplehaze1812

Wow... that made a boatload of sense. Thanks.

    LOL... WTF??!

  • @lin2log haha, to clarify.... I do appreciate the good in change. However, I do not like the GUI change to FCP at first glance. Sorry

  • @purplehaze1812

Yeah... you go ahead and get all hung up on the LOOK of it first and foremost! Bravo. What a true sign of PRO!!

    *facepalm*

I forgot that CLUTTERED, riddled with non-descript buttons and a heathy helping of "Look!! I made this GIU in fucking 1982 with Microsoft clip-art!!" is the only TRUE sign of PRO!! Thank you for clarifying that AVID and LIGHTWAVE and PREMIERE and...

    Grow the fuck up.

  • @lin2log Whoa, my bad bro. I had no idea I was talking with a "PRO." Couldn't tell by your two uploads. Btw, what is a 'GIU?"

  • @lin2log No,maybe to some people a piece of software isn't a "toy" to play with on the home front. People who use vertical software have a job to do - to toss out everything you've gained for the experience of "learning something new" is stupid and unproductive.

Run along now little boy and play with your little Mac and "learn something new" .. I bet you have an iPad too, don't you little fanboy?? LOL!

  • @bibbler227

OMFG!! I *DO* have an iPad!! Fuck! I feel so... so... CAUGHT! I'll be sure to point that out to the other SEVENTEEN MILLION AND GROWING.

You just go and grovel in your little basement there Skippy, clueless and delusional as always. Oh... I think I hear your mom calling!!... what's that? She wants to make another little brother or sister with you?? Wow... hurry!! Or at least go take care of your illegitimate runt Keira and make more of those supreme MOVIE MAKER clips! We can't wait!

  • @lin2log - Surprised by your childish response especially given your username which implies you have some sort of grasp on professional production environments. One of the biggest criticisms surrounding FCP was that it's unprofessional. I don't agree with that criticism however the direction they went with this UI embraces that criticism and runs with it. I may be wrong and this may be the greatest ever, but clients are gonna freak when they think you're using iMovie to edit their project.

  • @vanawesome

Stop with the bullshit, childish IMOVIE reference and someone actually might take you serious. Anyone MORONIC enough to think that iMovie was some sort of FRONTRUNNER of FCP X as opposed to an INTERMEDIATE OFFSPRING of the running developments on FCP X, has ZERO clue as to WTF they're babbling about, but are merely interested in arguing ad homonym drivel. More worried about the LOOK as opposed the FUNCTION... fuckin grow up people. REDCINE-X looks nearly IDENTICAL btw. No WHINING??!

  • @lin2log - sigh.. In a visual medium, look IS function. Even if iMovie is a direct result of the FCPx R&D, then perhaps they should have taken some queues by how much pro users hate iMovie and adjusted their approach. All my argument is here, Asshat, and I believe my point is valid, is the majority of FCP users are not going to like this. The proofs in the comments here. You can make things functional and streamlined without looking like you come standard on a fisher price training PC.

  • @vanawesome

LOL!!! You are SO fuckin' full of it, aren't you??! "PROS" hate iMovie?? LOL!! Quite the PROS you seem to know!! Oh wait, no, you're just pullin' that shit out yer ass! Sorry. And the proof is in the COMMENTS??! You mean ALL 29 OF THEM?? Half of which are from you and me??!

Man... what a sad fuck. Yeah, we'll see how much everyone just HATES FCP X... no doubt! (funny how familiar that sounds in connection with an Apple product... LOL... what a tard)

  • @vanawesome

Just so I'm clear on this btw.... exactly how many times have you posted this drivel on RED'S forum for Redcine-X then??? I mean... since you have your panties all up in your crack just because of the LOOK of things... you want to at least be CONSISTENT, don't you???

    LOL....

  • @lin2log - RCX is a utility, hardly a full on editor. The current RedCine X is 1000% better than it's predecessor .that's because Red listened and made changed according to what it's userbase wanted. Plus it's eff'n free you idiot. People don't tend to complain as much about something that is provided completely free of charge, especially when it works well. Regardless, they hardly even look the same so I'm not sure where your drawing your comparisons.

  • @vanawesome - LMAO! Yeah, you just go right on ahead and keep wriggling in ALL directions pulling more "facts" out of your ass. Sure, iMovie is so totally NOT free, right?? And $299 BUCKS for FCP X?!! You can't even get so much as a fuckin' PLUG-IN for that on other systems! Oh and NOW it all of a sudden IS about FUNCTION not FORM, since you have *nothing* to support your bs?? LOL, go "flip-flop as needed" somewhere else and do yourself a favor and simply STFU.

  • @lin2log - Last I checked iMovie was part of iLife.. which, yes does come with a NEW mac. But lets say, you have an old mac. Does apple provide you iLife for free? No douche, they charge you $49 for it. So, since you seem to be so focused on "facts" why don't you get the ones you're spewing correct. And if you read what I wrote, I said RCX looks nothing like FCP X. I don't know where you're getting that. Lighten up and take Steve Jobs cock out your mouth. Thats right, I JUST said that.

  • @vanawesome

What a pisser, DOUCHE (what are you, eight??), that iMovie only costs *$15*!! So, how was the part about GETTING FACTS STRAIGHT, you sad fuck?? You don't know DICK... LOL!!

You're (as I now realized) just some retarded, narcissistic wannbe YouTuber that needs a fuckin JOB and some SHAMPOO that STEALS his gear either way!! How embarrassingly SAD is that shit you put up??! LOL!! Could you be any MORE full of yourself??

BLATHER on you ass-hat! Ooooh, he said DICK!! LMAFAO!!

  • @lin2log

    @vanawesome

Guys, come on. Yes the took the UI from iMovie, which pros DO hate, might I add. But they've added in some great new features that take a little time to learn but will stay around for a very long time to come. Just like the previous interface, it was very new to people but it caught on as people started to get accustomed to it. There isn't any reason to fight about because nobody is making you upgrade to FCP X. Who knows maybe there will be an option to switch back in it.

  • @kewlmonke LOL... some Clearasil PUNK trying to tell us what PROS want/like!! The FIRST interface was "very new"??! :-D What are you smoking??

Make a complete fool of yourself much??

  • Comment removed

  • @lin2log I'm sorry what was that.. sounds a little muffled. Is Steve's dong STILL in your mouth? I thought I told you to take that out of there.

But how dare you soil the fine insult that is Douche. Have some respect! Anyway, @kewlmonke says, and I said at the start of all this. The new features are in-fact cool. So, I'll reserve further comment until I've used it. In the mean time I need to get a job and some shampoo apparently, or make a new video for my adoring fans.

  • About time for a new FCP.

  • Uh sixth.
