Why do guys dog on Ellen Page so much? So what if she doesn't look like Megan Fox? If you want her, go and see Transformers. Nolan uses intelligent, talented women like Hilary Swank, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Hall, Ellen, ect. There are many ways a woman can be attractive. Get over it.

Absolutely no justification for Page in this role other than to bring in a demographic that wouldn't have otherwise gone to see the movie. She just isn't believable in this role and they don't really use her like you'd think.

@nazrad1138 Refreshing as it is, there has to be a female character in order for women to want to see it, tits and ass attract more males, so you kind of reinforced my point in that she appeals to a certain demo, which is why (I think) the studio used her.. I would say otherwise if her character had more impact. But it became more and more about DiCaprios character

@tramwreck that's a sweepingly general statement; why does there have to be female characters in a movie in order for females to see a film? ellen page was able to translate the abstract concept of the film to the audience and support dicaprio. it was a good casting choice.

@tramwreck No reason for jumping to conclusions. If you didn't think she was beliveable, that doesn't mean others didn't. Imo, she played an important role in the movie (being the one who asked the questions and helped the audience understand) and she did a great job and I'm pretty sure they chose her because she's a great actress

As a college student my self, I know how students behave and dress and very few hollywood actresses fit the criteria
