Nah Woe... I have the same issue with my tundra. there's a box on ebay.com that i just copped for a bill. it's cut for 2 8"s, but if u bore it out to 9" it'll fit 2 tens. dude even has the small side too. there a cat on this site (look up "TOYOTA TUNDRA CREW CAB STEREO INSTALL by RESTOREYOURCAR) He cut out the bottom of the seat frame to allow the subs to stretch and not muffle against the bottom of the seat. there's also subwoofer pillars to post 6 1/2" subs on the floor, under the dash board.
Regardless of the music you listen too, the install is clean when you consider what you have to work with. I am looking into this for my 06 Tundra.
I have to ask, everyone sells that set up for 8" subs. When the seats go down, is there any problem with clearance? Also, how do they hit with the seats down? My main concern is not giving up any kind of comfort in my truck. I am just looking for some more umph. Do the amps over heat with the seats down?
@metalhead1237 okayyy? personal opinion but what is your point? I mean i didn't ask for your opinion in the description so I think you may be a little confused.
@brandon9491 its not free-air my man....Its sealed off under the MFD, hey cut it our and sealed off everything under there but there is rom for improvements
@swaggaming you are fucking retarted. no two kicker speakers can handle 10000 watts either. and you must mean a capacitor, youd need a minimum of a 10 farad capacitor. and it wouldnt be just the battery either. itd be the alternator, too. idiot...
@TopNachhhhh nah it wont hit the amps or the subs, the only thing is that if you bumping hard with the seat down then the subs will hit the seat, but long as you not banging the subs dont hit lol, the amps wereounting in the storage pocket so they dont hit at all and still have heat space
bro u gotta get 2 12" kicker brand, and one 10,000 watt kicker brand amp, but make sure you have a power converter for more power cause one fricken beat and your battery is toast
@swaggaming dude kicker isnt as good as you think. there tech is old, if you got the money then get JL, if you dont then get kicker, but you get what you pay for!
mdf board is just a smooth surface of wood, basically plyboard. recommended size is 1/2 thick and 3/4 thick. for your truck i would recommend 1/2 since 3/4 takes up alot of space because those seats in the trunk are very low.....
we actually put mdf board around the top of the storage spaces and wire the subz into it, and yes we kan put the seats dwn but it hits a little wen bumping hard but were gonna fix that my shaving dwn the mdf board a little
@deeotto23 what size are they and are they shallow subs?
Redneck2118 1 month ago
@Redneck2118 10's, no they are not shallow mounts, be best if they were though because theres not that much clearance in the storage com.
