We saw Rain in Atlanta, GA , Oct., 2010. I have been a huge Beatles fan since 1964, and believe me, I was skeptical! We attended a meet and greet, which was fabulous, and the guys were so friendly and gracious! The show started, and as I was swept away in the magic of "The Beatles" (Rain), I was unaware of the tears flowing down my face! OMG! It was as if they were magically transported for one show! If it could make me cry, they were damn good! You gotta go!
The John Lennon looks so much like John Lennon and the Paul McCartney looks so much lke Paul McCartney that I wonder whether they had plastic surgery.
Photographed three separate RAIN events in Seattle, and have to admit I was so distracted by how GREAT the show was the first time I saw them, that I really wasn't satisfied with some of my photos!!! The second time I knew what to expect and got better shots!
They are coming to Seattle again in a couple months, and this time, no camera... just a chance to ENJOY Rain, The Beatles Experience!!!
I seen Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles in Seattle, WA. They are great! I never saw the Beatles concent. I saw them do the re-create The Beatles at The Museum of Flight. When The Beatles came to USA.
I have checked out every "Beatles Tribute bands on youtube and I have to say that "RAIN -" are the most authentic and punchy ! Others sing ok but the playing is not so good and others play good but the vocals would Haunt a house !!
Im a big beatles fan and i think this band is sound and Looks amazing !!! Great stuff!!! we have a few beatle tributes in australia - beatles and the Beatnix they are ok but not as Ffffffffine as rain ! Come down under they would clean up!
saw them in Ashland,Ky tonight 3/11/2010... what a great show...if you ever get the chance to see them don't pass it up...the ticket is worth every penny
saw them in Ashland,Ky tonight 3/11/2010..what a great show..if you ever get a chance to see them don't pass it up...it's worth every penny for the ticket
I saw them in '07 in Hyannis, MA in the Cape Cod Melody Tent. They were really good, but I had two problems- I was sitting behind about five drunks who thought it'd be funny to drip beer on my sock, and wave their lighters on "Imagine" and "Hey Jude"; and I got a seat behind Ringo, so I couldn't see much. But I did see all of their instruments.
I was also at the scranton show on tue. I was about 7 rows back , center stage. The show was awsome ! The screens on the side of the stage really added to the experience. coo coo kachoo.
I 1st saw them 22 yrs ago when they appeared in the cafeteria at our university. Cost $5.00. These guys are the best by far. As with the Fab Four, Rain performed anywhere & everywhere to get the recognition. I saw them again a couple of months later when they performed (July & 93 degrees in Pepper outfits) in the parking lot to promo the opening of a record store. They still sounded great. My 4 & 8 yr olds love them, too. See them if you can. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
I just got tickets 4 rain, it will be my 1st time seeing them,Can't wait:) My friends if you get the chance check out The Cavern Beat! Great,Fantastic,Close your eyes and dream:) Peace
Saw Rain in January, it was amazing. I'm 15, so I wasnt even close to being around when the Beatles were but I've hear the real thing and these guys were almost perfect. It was a great insight and an amazing show.
I am the leader of "The Fab Five" band, mentioned halfway through this story. I know the focus was on RAIN (and deservedly so!) but I want to thank whoever posted this story. I cannot believe the amount of people that saw this broadcast all over the country, who called or wrote me to say "I saw you on TV!" Even better, it HELP'd our street cred and got us some nice gigs all over the Northeast. It happened again in late June 2008, when CBS re-ran this piece.
Allthough, these guys put on the full Beatles experience.I still think 1964 The Tribute is a better tribute band.Left handed McCartney puts it over the top for me.Regardless,I appreciate everything these Beatle tribute bands do....I am a huge fan.
This was on again last Sunday and they do put on a killer show. I've seen many Beatle bands, but not like these guys. Can't wait to see them in Tucson in December!!!
Amazing how much they sound like the Beatles. This would be a cool experience for those of us that grew up with The Beatles but never got to see them in person. PS> I'm thinking Paul played a left handed Hofner bass? The guy doing John has the stance down pat. Enjoyed your post. Thanks!!!
I have to tell a story about seeing this band - I took my family to see Rain in Butte County, CA a couple years back. We were in the front row. Behind us was a younger family (mom and dad in their 40's maybe, with a son about age 11 or so) and I could see the kid was not at all enthused. I overheard him complaining a bit, asking his dad how long the concert would be.
See next comment for the continuation of this story...
After the concert, this little kid and I were among the few folks who stuck it out and waited a long time to meet the band members and get our T shirts signed. He was no longer in a hurry for the night to end - and a new Beatles fan was born!
We saw this in Schenectady NY a couple months ago. BUT, my husband and I saw this EXACT SAME group in 1977 or 78 doing Beatlemania at the Winter Garden Theater on Broadway in NYC. Both shows were awesome

Rain does to Beatles music like a musician does Mozart or Beethoven.
Actor Pierce Brosnan considered Rain the best tribute band.

His dad answered "Well, the Beatles have a few hundred songs in their catalogue" and I saw the boy's face fall...he was miserable
(I also made a crack to the dad about being mean...).
Anyway, one song into the concert and this little boy was a convert - watching him have fun was almost as much fun as watching the band!
