These type of match ups could have also been made to factor in the price comparisons of essentially two types of cars. The purely stock GTR which is presently priced at roughly $90k and up, versus a price of a stock tC including the upgrades and mods created by the RSR team and Rockstar. End of the day, price is evenly matched, but the end result is completely different based on pure performance.

Yes the GTR can drift in ways but when being compared to modified cars such as these Scions (which where built and performance set up to drift), it's not exactly a fair test. Stock vs stock acceptable but when cars are modified it's in a totally different game.

I don't see the point of this comparison either. Also, why on Earth would you turn a FWD compact into a "purpose built" drift car by ripping out the entire drivetrain and converting it to rear wheel drive?

Why not begin with an actual RWD car that had loads of R&D put into its chassis and factory handling before uprating everything? Ah yes, that's right... Scion doesn't sell a RWD yet but they want to pretend their FWD tC's are drift cars to sell more of them.

Actually the Skyline just like its predecessors are made for drifting. The wheels are very unique because the are made so the tires will not come off during a power slide/drift, and each body crevis and curves actually help the car a lot when its in a straight line race or when its sliding. I believe the driver of the Skyline did not bring out the drifting abilities that this car posseses.
