I tell you more and more of these fights are snoozefests. It's like they train so much they become too acclimated to sparing and instead of a real fight you're seeing a 3-round sparing session. What Dana says boxing is is starting to happen to MMA. Really it actually speaks positively of steroids, at least on steroids you know they're amped up and they're going to go for it and fight their hearts out instead of dance around the ring and avoid each other for 90% of the fight.

@Danielson184 Give credit to Brock though, he FIGHTS, he doesn't dance around and spar with people. People don't pay to see people spar with each other, they want to see warriors that fight to survive and win.

If they keep doing these sparing sessions they need to change their whole format and lose the reference to gladiatorial Rome because it's not. It's just another big hype machine like boxing.

@groundsmanbri Cro Cop looks like he's functioning at about 40% of what he used to do, he's just going through the motions and not really fighting, just collecting a paycheck. His heart isn't in it anymore and he may have some permanent injuries as well.

Dana, we want to see real fights, not just hyped up characters playing a role in a ring. It's becoming too Hollywood, just some cookie-cutter format that gets recycled over and over to keep the coffers filled.

Brock doesn't stand a chance against Veleqsue in a stand up game, the only way I could see him beat Velesque is through ground and pound and that would require a take down, something that no one has pulled off against Velesque yet. Velesque is a wrestler as well, although he has disadvantage in weight difference, he will probably be faster than brock.

@nichickmet Sure Crocop has had 34 fights but Frank Mir is still among the elite in the heavyweight divison. Cro Cop has to worry about Mir's strikes, takedowns and the ground game. Mir is a high level black belt in brizilian ji jit shi and has very good wrestling skills and he's the best at submissions in the heavy weight division. He's younger stronger and will not lose after that fight with carwin, 100% sure Mir's taking this one.
