  • why does it say eme07 when this came out in 2009?

  • @sheatheman, probably your looking into a parallel world. In this one, the video came out in June 2008, after a few months of editing with all the other videos from the festival! Thanks for passing by.

  • His music creates a temple for me. I visit this temple often. The combination of Tim Hecker's sonic temple and DMT creates an even larger temple for me full of textural epiphanies and alien symbolism. The knowledge gained from meditation via synesthesic architecture should be used in all aspects of life. There is music, because there is mortality. We celebrate it by believing in time.

  • That must have been very enlightening.

  • Does anyone know what software he is using on his MAC?

  • I was suppose to see him in Dublin a while back, it was cancelled. My friend told me he was supporting Godspeed you! Black emperor in Dublin next week, it's actually all tomorrow's parties. I feel like I will never get to see him! least I have Godspeed You! Black emperor. Tim Hecker... YOU ROCK! ( in the most subtle of ways )

  • wonderful video, great choice of songs too. roll on godspeed atp!

  • absolutly great album!!! " an imaginary country"!!! , great video!!!! magique tout simplemnt.... clément the dreamer....

  • As an ambient artist myself, one of the hardest things to do is put on an entertaining live show. I think Tim Hecker succeeds simply based on the venue. I can't even begin to imagine how amazing the acoustics there must have been. He doesn't have to be flashy, just use the venue to the fullest. Love this.

  • Absolutely, that why the concert was there, and the sound that you can ear is already from "the space"... ;)

  • @whalesex I think he succeeds because it's aural alchemy. I can sit at home and listen to his music at home and have tears streaming down my face. The venue means nothing.

  • seeing him in November @ The Hexagon in Baltimore.

    can't wait.

  • Wow, what a venue. I'm off to see him a month but it will be a in a dinghy little bar - I'm excited nonetheless!

  • Thanks a lot for upload this!

  • thanks, my pleasure! ;)

  • love these kinds of artists, but can you guys put some damned duct tape over the apple logo on your computers please? its so distracting from the natural beauty of the venue and your performance to have that cheesy blue logo there.

  • hi Nigel,

I think you marked a point on that!

    ;)

    vj

  • @nigelbdunn haha, i always rock the gaffers tape over my apple logo. once apple pays me to advertise, ill peel it off.

  • his two best songs, all thats missing is rainbow blood

  • i love tim hecker. and what a place to see/hear him.

  • Why don't we have concerts like these in the states? Guess I'll have to wear out my new copy of Imaginary Country in the meantime...

  • I agree, I'd love to be immersed in these sounds.

  • @radioamor Tim Hecker will be at Moogfest in Asheville, NC this year... if you live anywhere on the eastern side of the U.S. it will be worth it...

  • wonderful! Thank you so much for posting this.

  • my pleasure!

    : )

  • one day in the future they'll look back and wonder why they live in apocalyptic hell and we had the paradise of this music.. :-)

  • Beautiful.

  • so, the first song is "sea of pulses" from his new album

  • i would love to have been at this. '07 had some lineup!

  • somebody know the title of these songs?

  • chimeras for the second one. don't think the first one is listed might be out on the new album early 2009

  • thanks, I hope so! I'm looking for the first one...

  • awesomeness
