Letterman and Conan are fairly funny. It's like a musician. You're not a has been when you're still doing well. Only after you've stopped producing. In this case, Conan's problems are due entirely to the Leno show leading into it sucking (ruining Conan's ratings along with it) and the lack of support form the network.

Exactly. Lenos terrible ratings had a snowball effect taking everything down with him. Thats the whole reason this whole mess is going on, only because the local news affiliates pressured NBC to get rid of Leno at 10 because he was killing their ratings at 11. It wasn't entirely Conans fault for the low ratings. Although NBC should have expected lower than normal ratings for Conan during the first 1-2 years to establish a new audience. It doesn't happen overnight.
