That's unlikely. What is much more likely to happen, is that congress will audit the Fed, which will make it harder for banks to go to the dicount window in fhe future if they need to. During a banking crisis, no bank wants to be seen as needing propotionately more funds than others, or indeed needing any funds at all. This will mean that the Fed will lose some of its independence and congess will be making monetary policy, to the degree that they don't shift it directly to Treasury.
If you think monetary policy is bad now, wait until you let the congress start running it! They'll have incentives to over-expand the money supply just to get re-elelcted.

Think out of the old outdated monetary system. The prerequisites for all of our problems in capitalism will be still there had we just add some adhesive tape and a few nails.
The Zeitgeist Movement proposes a new way to deal with the different supply chains the human needs - food, shelter, energy, transportation, medical care. It's not the only one proposed over the years. Do the study on few of the new systems yourself.

After we audit the Fed, we can abolish it.
Then we can drag Bernanke, the Fed Presidents and the members of the Federal Open Market Committee out onto the street and shoot them in the head.
Then we can go back to Sound Commodity backed Constitutional Money and STOP the Federal Govt from spending the USA into Oblivion on Empire and Socialist programs.
NO Federal Reserve and NO Central Bank!

That's unlikely. What is much more likely to happen, is that congress will audit the Fed, which will make it harder for banks to go to the dicount window in fhe future if they need to. During a banking crisis, no bank wants to be seen as needing propotionately more funds than others, or indeed needing any funds at all. This will mean that the Fed will lose some of its independence and congess will be making monetary policy, to the degree that they don't shift it directly to Treasury.

HR1207 will pass because the reps want to get re-elected after being seen as unpopular with all the town halls meetings more than on the merits of the bill. (Which is pretty sad)
Grayson while well intentioned appears frothing at the mouth, like a bird who just ate a canary and should have jumped in with readily available facts instead of an accusatory tone. Grayson needs to be more level headed to be taken seriously.

To change things we must take out all of the Congress and replace them with LOCAL UPSTANDING CITIZENS elected by their LOCAL PEERS without any intervention from Government or its agencies thereof. I don't follow the market but I did notice that it kept going up and up and up even with all the bad news. WTF! I finally found some information that the bankers have so much money from the Federal Reserve that they cannot put back into loans that they are keeping the Stock Market artificially inflated to boost consumer confidence. It looks like that didn't work. They are going to hit the financial wall soon, then it will be all over for them.

The Amero really confuses me. Fiat money is a confidence game. The dollar only stands today because people still have faith in it, when the faith collapses the dollar is toast, but in the wreckage we are going to have 305 million really pissed off Americans demanding answers & not just us, the rest of the world will be in turmoil to anyone still holding dollars, there is 7 to 8 Trillion dollars being used in other countries, there will be epic pain when it fails.
