you are missing the point. The film is a serious study in the nature of violence. from bad side or good. it goes deeper than just "beating of some goon by a police"... Smita is constantly just questioning the basis of violence..almost like a Gandhist thinking about Himsaa/Ahimsaa. She has her own conclusions; right or wrong. but the pasisonate violence (even on good side) can only lead to more of it..and slowly the society gets currupt..
