wow wow wow wow wow... this is inspirational to me! I just found out about ed today and this is truly an master piece of awesomeness. I heard a lot of real good music out there, but this one speaks out to me. It's been saying something so faint for a long time, but finally I hear what it is saying. Thank you Ed.
@joiless It was with NMA on Vagabonds that I first came across Ed many years ago, incredible musician who hasn't got the commercial recognition he deserves (in my humbe opinion).
@joiless I saw NMA last in 1990 on their Impurity tour. The Levelers were the opening act, and before NMA took the stage Ed played a solo for about 10 mins. I don't know what song he played- (Orange??) but it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in all the gigs I have ever been too.
Why is he not on tour, or something? Talent like this should be lifted out of the streets, and thrust upon the world stage... love this man's talent...
Ed your great, try to get a concert somewhere in NYc and I'll come to see you with my whole family! YOur FANTastic! I listen to your work everyday!!! Be Encouraged Brother We Love YOu!
It's funny that you should say about Liverpool Council telling him to leave.Well it's their loss as this guy is simply amazing and he is better off not being in scummy Liverpool before they rob him blind the theiving so and so's lol!
@heliman85 .Ed is from Liverpool, same as me and I watched him in the late 80's through the 90s and up to 2002 playing in Liverpool City Centre regularly. The council had no problem with him then, he drew massive crowds and never once got robbed. I worked in HMV and it was the Liverpool store in Church Street that arranged to stock his album and promoted it to the rest of the chain. City of Culture evicted HMV from Church St as well as Ed it seems...pathetic decision but thats modern councils.
on the streets?! I hope that doesn't mean he can't find a nicer venue for such talent! Or maybe it just goes to show how dedicated to entertaining people on a personal level he is. That's cool too. But really, he belongs at Carnegie Hall!
i wish ed had a website. he doesnt as far as i know. havent seen him in years- last time i spoke to him he said liverpool council told him to fuck off and stop playing in the city. lovely for a city thats supposed to be capital of culture eh? capital of fuck all but shopping more like.
@ohmygodyoutub3 I saw him in York 2 days back.. playing in the streets.. first time saw him with his violin.. was astounding.. and he had just created his own space.. a level by itself.. his music just puts everyone on a trance even in a busy streets of york..
A rather creative variation of perfection, don't you think?
The artist decided to by rather experimental, that's been the reqiuem in any art form.
Loved it, just too derived at 2:35...

The Artist who played this is magnificant. Apart from 1:30 - 1:42, it's perfect. Projected beautifully & flows like never before.
0 Dislikes, lets keep it at that.

I first saw him in York last year, where he stopped me dead in my tracks. Such a quiet. unassuming guy who lets his music do the talking.
My only wish, like many people who visit his music here on YouTube, is that he would tour, where I am sure he would be a sell out.

This is some seriously intense electric violin, the guy's an amazing artist.
You can also hear Ed Alleyne-Johnson playing with New Model Army in the song "Vagabonds," it's pretty amazing.
