  • what is the name of the paste? silver 5 correct?

  • @elpueblano009 Arctic Silver 5 many people consider it to be the best.

  • anyone who is attempting this repair is wasting their time. Sell your ps3 as is or for parts and buy a new ps3. If you fix the problem it WILL come back in a couple months or less and happen continously until the motherboard completely fails or you give up on having to fix it all of the time. Ive done hundreds of these repairs and now I almost refuse to do them and talk people out of getting it repaired unless they really really really care about backing up their game saves.

  • i read on a website: dont do anything with the ps3 from a unproffesional site.

so my question is: how can i know that this is proffesional?

  • @skullskaterlolfan ofcourse its not. It's basically a patch-up temporary fix

  • @antigrav118 thank you very mutch for youre answer:)

  • whats the paste your spreading everywhere? thanks

  • Is the glue necessary for the thermo pads?

Will it work if you dont have a glue?

  • Is this a 40 gig?

  • well u guys it did work...lmao i wont be placing it in the oven though! My new challenge to defeat boredom

  • brother, the thermal pads and cmos battery needs to be removed...msg me if this thing is still running by the way. thanks!

  • fukin moron!! thanks to your stupid oven shit you forgot to mention to remove a 3 volt lithium battery on some ps3 now i really fuck it up !

  • @jun2zzgts He clearly says "Remove the battery" at 1:25

  • thanks to you my ps3 battery exploted my motherboard and really fuck it up!

  • no wonder people get ylod back after reflowing the rsx and re applying thermal paste THEY ARE FORGETTING WHY IT HAPPENED... DUST get the fucking dust off that heatsink u assholes or say goodbye to your ps3

  • que pasa si retiras la bateria de la mother board?

  • @ToxicBoogie... Google "Graphics Card Baking Method". I've used this method to fix a GTX 280 and a 8800 GTX. I was curious as to why none of these fix a PS3 methods ever mentiond just baking it in the oven.

You have to remember the PCB of the motherbard has a melting point of 2000*f, while the solder has a melting point of around 400*f

  • All the things your not supposed to do with the motherboard, you did 'em.

  • @ToxicBoogie831 What did he do that you aren't suppose to do? I want to try and fix a YLOD.

  • @ToxicBoogie831 no oven! no moving the motherboard when hot! nothing in here was ever cleared to move a working ps3 past 1 day
