I don't think the flooring was the culprit, the shiny dress dragging at her feet was.

The dress is flat at the front, but drags at the back, so everytime she kicks her leg forward to take a step, the tail of the dress is shot towards the front of the dress. When her right heel came down, it landed on the tail of the dress, causing her foot to slide forwards as she shifted her weight. That's my hypothesis.
