Two can't be in positions 3rd, 4th or 5th. As it is always required to be in either 1st or 2nd. As the only numbers that are two times another are 2 and four. 1-->2, 2-->4.
Thank you for this...I'm taking the LSATs and I'm a thrifty college student that's hoping to do well. You've given me a some helpful strategies. Thank you. Thank you.

@2012uchicago: For the majority of Logic Games, you should use a grid/chart to be able to order, group, the people/objects in the game. I understand that for this "sample" I really wouldn't go all out the way she drew her chart/grid. I definitely don't think I'd spend more than 30 seconds drawing one as easy as this one. The fact that she answered a Q based on a previous answer didn't make sense because there was other possible answers. Anyways, thanks for tip. I know the LSAT is hard. Haha.
I’m confused, why are you answering question 2 based on the information from question 1? Because, my grid shows possible combinations:
2 - 4 - 1 - 0 – 3
1 - 2 - 0 - 1 – 3
2 - 4 - 0 - 3 - 1
1 - 2 - 0 - 3 - 1
Which shows that 1 comes immediately before 2, so I thought the answer was A. It appears that you knocked out A based on the counter-example from question 1, so I’m confused.

@MAR1T5A Don't use a grid that is a dumb way to approach this question trust me possible combinations option I = 2 4 ?(but not 3) ? 1/3 option II = 1 2 ? (but not 4) ? 4/3. This grid thing works sure, but it is far too time consuming. Remember you only get 35 min. She says use question 2 b/c if that is your answer you KNOW that works this allows you to answer a question with an already acceptable. This really isn't that hard to do. The LSAT is a hard test sure. But anyone can do it.

if I fail the LSAT my life will suck. My life sucks so I must have failed the LSAT
why is the reasoning in the author's statement wrong
A) The author fails to consider that many individuals have failed the LSAT and went on to have great lives
B) The author fails to consider that many people have never taken the LSAT and have good lives
C) life cannot be determined by a test
D) The author fails to notice that a sufficient cause is not a necessary cause
E) The author's life sucked already

i do it faster by using my mind....jesus....why do you have to waste your life that way?

But you wasted time filling out the entire set. You know that 2 must be first, so bubble it in and move on.
