@Xmayro it's called zoning. It's a tactic used to lure people into jumping into traps, like the shoryuken, or to start attacks of their own or to just buy some time. There's no real way to truly get out of it without some kind of disadvantage, but if they're zoning you, you'd HAVE to jump in and just hope they don't have enough reaction time to pull off an anti-air before you get to pull of an overhead move. Don't worry, I'm a scrub too.

@Xmayro you need to be quick, use focus absorb quickly and focus cancel than dash forward and lunch an attack. If I were you I would sit in training mode with your opponent as Ryu, and record his actions as fireball than dp, than do playback and practice ways to get through, practice makes perfect!

@Xmayro Learn spacing. This way you'll know where you can safely stand to neutral jump over a fireball and not get anti-aired. You'll also learn where you can punish an opponent's fireball with a jump-in.
