When we pulled onto the highway out of the city we were in, "Departure" from Seasons was playing. I fell asleep to Sleep Well 15 minutes later. When I woke up, we were pulling into my driveway with "Return" playing. It was amazing.
This song is so beautiful. It can really put you to sleep. And then the outro (Good evening) is such an awesome ending. The last song on the last Mae cd. They truly did go out with a bang.

It's to raise money for charity. They've been releasing singles from the three EPs as a gift for giving at least $1 on their site. Hope that helped! ^_^
I think this will be the song they play at the end of each show. Considering the tour is called "Goodnight,Goobye", it fits perfectly. This is one of my favorite songs besides "The Sun and the Moon". Just close your eyes and listen to the song its just amazing.
@AlwaysMAE Before the encore's, the closer actually was "Goodbye, Goodnight" from Destination: Beautiful. This song played midway through their main set. It was definitely the highlight performance of the night (when I saw them, at least.)
I think the similarities with The Fisherman Song are on purpose. Remember how the narrator in The Fisherman Song couldn't sleep well (and hence went out to the shore to write a song)? I think he can after this song :)
all i can say is that mae is doing what all good bands do after being around for so many years: they are evolving. and with that evolution is mae really coming into their own as a band full of artists. multisensory aesthetic experience never made so much sense as it did with this song.
I notice some similarities in melody to The Fisherman Song. But they're too creative for that to be laziness. Perhaps it means something. Since The Fisherman Song was the first song of (m)orning, perhaps this would be the last one in (e)vening?

I love this song . It's a bit different than Mae's typical style , but so good I love that some of their newer songs are diferent it just shows how much they can do .
Mae have outdone themselves in the last year. just getting better and better. i didn't think 'A Melody, the Memory' could be beaten, but this is just so epic. if they ever came to New Zealand I'd be so stoked! will have to get the USA sometime to see them. it'd be worth it
