I don't know if Thaksin is, but he initiated the Student Loan, Income Contingency Loan and two key healthcare policies: subsidized universal health care and low-cost universal access to anti-retroviral HIV medication.

These are very important factors in any society, they will improve Thai communities in the future.

Regarding the drugs problems, the way Thaksin did is just so simple and did not solve any problems, when police starting killing drugs dealers heavily - they just stopped for a short time only. People who believe this is the way are the people who do not understand the problems and can not analysis the problems. It is like when your kids did something bad and just get solve the problem by killing your kids. Actually, we have to solve the problem by educating them.

So, when the local plice were so sure who were selling drugs, we are talking about big players here, they just let them go to hell a little earlier than expected. How many times have we told them to stop. Sacrifices a few bad people, might violate human rights, but it worth every lives to see my familiy and people in the country safe from drugs.
