  • it's just important to show how the media LIE. who is at fault? the police always escalate and derail, then scapegoat radical unapologetic elements of a movement that will actually push for real change instead of petty reforms. don't perpetuate their narrative, bro.

  • So i'd just like to clarify the ordering of events on #j28. The march was peaceful, our first building attempt was unsuccessful as the police had blockaded it. We continued marching the police launched flash bangs, tear gas and paint plastic tipped bullets. The shields and barricades were there to protect the crowd and blockade /defend a building. nonagression principle. we regrouped, continued marching. they mass kettled and arrested 400 people. then a small group of people broke into city hall

  • Damn cops; they're making up excuses to fulfill their bloodlust. I don't think it would be a bad idea if these particular cops were treated like the Black and Tans.

  • It was not a peaceful group.

WELL WHO THE FUCK YOU THINK MADE THEM VIOLENT, GENIUS?

  • Burning the flag is terrible messaging? That's all you can come up with Cenk? A major impetus of Occupy is support for our Constitutional Republic. Occupy members should, and many do, carrying the flag (and a copy of our Constitution which says we are all created equal and are equal before the law.) We have a right to assemble not to be compromised by "health & safety codes." We are the 99% of Americans not the privileged 1% with their get out of jail free cards. Carry the flag, call Obama out.

  • Look, I sympathize with you guys but this is stupid. Why are you even TRYING to make excuses for these dumb anarchist kids. In case you haven't noticed, the occupy movement went out with a whimper and it's dead now. Please stop trying to make excuses for these thugs, it's pathetic.

  • @rumbler227 U mad, brah?

  • Come on people, we all know these are generally peaceful movements that become chaos only because they feel threatened by armed so-called officials with hot heads not only coming at them with weapons but using them against non-violent protesters who fight back only when attacked unjustly. Honor the constitution that so many people don't even glance at and realize our freedoms are being violated on all levels. The authorities make excuses when they use these weapons on public if one doesn't exist.

  • If it was the American Flag I'd be up set, but since it's a military government flag for Marshall law, I have no problem with the burning of this Flag. TYT NEEDS TO HIT THE HISTORY BOOKS ON WHAT OUR FLAG LOOKS LIKE. thanks, sorry for caps. but it was needed.

  • The Oakland mayor is fucking evil. how did that bitch become mayor? Its amazing how the stupidest people get elected in this country

  • This YoungTurks guy is an idiot. Always has been

  • The yellow fringe around the flag means : YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS. ADMIRALTY LAW, BEEYOTCH

  • the police are going to push a little harder each time until the "Occupy Movement" loses it's peacefull base. Then they can go in and crack skulls because all that will be left is riotors who are just there to cause shit for the sake of it. Peacefull protest has lost it's teeth. There are no ppl in the political arena to oppose the establishment so the threat of your vote means nothing. The "left" and "right" are fully bought and paid for. They can afford to just sit and watch now.

  • Cenk, you don't understand,I don't think you realize that there are psycho paths in washington

  • I'm certainly in the Anarchist camp bro.

  • See late comedian/social commentator Bill Hicks' brilliant take on flag burning: /watch?v=y-UGv4XsEWQ

  • Babylon is coming down in a rage of fire. Let it. They allowed the "Patriot" Act and the NDAA and now they want to be "peaceful" in protesting against the zionest regime? We've seen how much the "peaceful" protesters gained from there protest. Revolutions aren't won sitting on the ass being "peaceful" let history show ya that! Read the bill of rights and constitution to take back the stolen land!!!

  • @1rebelblood

"Read the bill of rights and constitution to take back the stolen land!!!"

Stolen from who? The Native Americans? If you want a review of history, why not look at more venerated figures? Ghandi. Buddha. Jesus. Lao Tzu.

  • @ChairmanKiel And we all know what happen to those guys in the end. The supporters sat back in the cut while there leader got fucked proper. U think the britts would have given the colonies freedom if they were doing a "peacefull" protest? Fuck no they would have walked all over them, kinda whats going on at all the "peaceful" protest around the world. So maybe just jesus got fucked while his sheep just "watched", Shame, shame, is the saying isnt it? Do something if u want change, dont beg!!!

  • @1rebelblood

"And we all know what happen to those guys in the end."

I'm not sure we do. But we can see the legacy they left behind; and the lives they've touched.

"U think the britts would have given the colonies freedom if they were doing a "peacefull" protest? Fuck no they would have walked all over them, kinda whats going on at all the "peaceful" protest around the world."

I agree, but what you propose is a short term solution, that will only create the same problems we want gone.

  • @ChairmanKiel Its opionions like your that takes away our right that whenever ANY form of government becomes destructive that the rights of the people to alter or abolish and to institute new government is not possable to lay a foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to us seem most likely to effect our safty and happiness. We have the Right of Revolution, "peacefull" protest is for countries like Syria, and we see how far thats gotten them, 11 months and countin!

  • What do we think? Viva La Revolution. Stop jabbering about some busted windows and bottles and talk about the countless beatings and shootings by the pitbulls of the 1%. When people are angered, they just so happen to act that out, It's human. Cope.

  • YOU KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE THINK WE ARE THE END ALL OF THAT MATTERS. WE THINK WE ARE THE EPICENTER OF LIFE WHEN WE ARE ONLY A FRACTION WHAT'S TO COME. FUCK YOU CENK. YOU'RE NOT AUTHORITY. WHY DO YOU CARE? ALL YOU CARE ABOUT ARE OPINIONS.

A MIDDLE FINGER TO YOU AT THIS POINT .

FUCK YOU AND YOUR OPINION POLLS.

  • I saw Black Bloc Anarchists and others with shields and those sweet barricades protecting peaceful protesters from the police attack. Black Bloc makes me feel safer than the police do. The city hall "break in" happened later after all this and I can see how people would have been mad. A little bit of vandalism is not the end of the world and compared to police using chemical weapons on people it's nothing.

  • I'm totally in the Anarchist's camp. Time for a fucking revolt

  • A few things to consider. How did the police approach? If history is an indicator, they were wearing riot gear; implying that they are looking for a fight. Were the protesters largely violent? Occupy has a history of being peaceful for the most part. Remember that this is Oakland, and that things have gotten nasty here before. There are a lot of factors, but I would say the police came ready for a fight, and as we all know, if you go looking for a fight, you're sure to find (start) one.

  • Thank you for letting me skip advertisement! my thought on violent riots: if i poke you with a stick for a long enough period of time you will use your hand to deflect the stick, if i persist you will hit back.

  • Flags gotta burn!

  • Why don't the occupiers get permits and occupy the area outside the company that makes the tazers that the police use to zap the occupiers with? It is a public company whose stock trades on Wall Street. They could ask the CEO what he thinks about how his product is being used?

  • Who honestly gives a fuck what the mayor and police like. They are the heel that harms more than the protesters.

  • @sk8bow I don't mind the rebelliousness. That's the only way real change occurs. However, it has to be more focused then it is right now.

  • @JoshWMyers Many don't give specifics about how to end corruption because how doesn't matter to them. All they care about is that it happens, and there are countless ways of doing it. That's not a problem at all. Many will actually list off several ways it could be done. They just want somebody in charge to pick one of the many available methods and do it already. That's a concrete agenda.

  • @venusbrain Wow. You're saying that the Occupy protests are targetless. Many have very specific targets, and I supported those. But now, most of them have become a bunch of people whining to nobody in particular, and there is no reason for anybody to heed a message like that. A recipient must be named.

  • @Shindashi I didn't say they were target-less. You said that. They've named countless targets, and people intentionally misinterpret that as having "no direction" when it's really an indication that they're fighting a problem that's bigger than anything else we face in this country. To name just a few, Ben Bernake, legislators taking bribes, the corporations bribing them, the director of the DEA, and Obama have been named by occupiers as corrupt and in need of removal.

  • @venusbrain Leaving it up to politicians to 'choose' which way to end the disparity will not work. They've got to make it a whole lot more concrete then "we're making noise, so now do something." Otherwise, I guarantee that nothing will change.

  • @venusbrain For example, a good start would be to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act. The Dodd-Frank Act was highly watered down such that it's ineffective. I also think the biggest problem that this country faces is the fact that lobbyists are incredibly powerful in this country. Tearing down that system should be OWS's primary objective, followed by real campaign finance reform. Another good one is to re-regulate and end privatized utilities. Those are more concrete objectives, for example

  • I think that the destructive anarchist wing has been growing for a while (I was at both OOs; the 'wild-eyed' were far more numerous here) and I can no longer justify the police abstention of rubber blanks. Unlike the first wave, which was hostile to violence, the second iteration of OO is breeding terrorists. Dumb ones, but dictionary-defined terrorists: people who use destruction to intimidate many.

  • peaceful resolution is not working> so, gotta get busy and shake the tree.

  • If anyone attacked me for no reason, I'd sure as hell strike back! Go Occupy!!!

  • Typical west coasters with dellusions of self-importance.

  • I've heard Oakland say they are all for civil disobedience. Trying to break into a building is not okay.

Boo Oakland, you guys are making the whole movement look bad.

  • We could fill a fire truck up with pepper spray and give these assholes a good dousing and possibly delousing.

  • I think someone should go to the parents of each OWS person and slap the SHIT out them for raising such spoiled rotten punk kids. Then send the OWS kids to CUBA so they will see what communism is REALLY like. - hear's a hint....you NEVER hear about someone in the United States turning a 1972 ELComino into a boat to go TO Cuba....

  • @MetalDetroit u are a moron. OWS isnt a communist movement. its anti-corruption.

  • @Cheapshot420420 OWS isn't a communist movement? Really?! - Is that why I keep seeing young punks in Che Guevara t shirts ( a mass murderer) or Moa Tse Tung shirts (an even bigger mass murderer) or the red Chinese star on hats - and videos on you tube by OWSers and union members demeaning Capitalism and calling for socialism and communism?

  • @MetalDetroit wow if you see that you have some serious mental defect in your brain. you are seeing what you want to see so u can be justified in being angry at people.

  • @MetalDetroit Capitalism kills people. Capitalism steals money. Capitalism is the root of evil in the world today

  • @atomicgalaxy1 50 Million starved in the Ukraine under Communist Stalin - 62 Million murdered under Communist Moa Tse Tung - 16 Million murdered by Communist Pol Pot in Cambodia - 10 Million murdered by Communist Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam - Political dissidents vanish in Communist Cuba. Untold #'s murdered and imprisoned in Communist N. Korea. Go into a grocery store anywhere in the United States and say a prayer of thanks that you were born in a Capitalist country that is blessed with abundance.

  • @MetalDetroit What led to the ultimate fall of communism (incl national and soviet socialism, et al) is that the commies loved nothing more than killing each other with the possible exception of slaughtering the local peasantry.

  • @atomicgalaxy1 "In the 1950s, Khrushchev predicted: "We will bury you." But in the West today, we see a free world that has achieved a level of prosperity and well-being unprecedented in all human history. In the Communist world, we see failure, technological backwardness, declining standards of health, even want of the most basic kind--too little food. Even today, the Soviet Union still cannot feed itself.... Freedom is the victor." - President Ronal Reagan

  • @MetalDetroit I'm certainly no Stalinist or authoritarian, but In many communist countries at that time their was a far, far lower degree of homelessness, joblessness, and poor health than there are in the said countries today under capitalism. Capitalism has turned Russian and Yugoslavia to shit, where in the Soviet era, had high standards of living.

  • @SonicobbsessedR2 The communist countries never came clean and faced up to their criminal past as had Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan - the post-commies are still carrying that baggage.

  • @MetalDetroit OMG you are SUCH an idiot!

  • the OWS people showed up with shields... If you're not intending to get into a fight why bring a shield?

  • @richarddbeck A shield doesnt indicate showing up to fight... A weapon would.

  • @thomascoates yea.... right... That why the tea party people bring shields to all of their events and protest... O wait they bring megaphones because they actually have something worth saying.

  • @richarddbeck Now, that HAS to be the dumbest question I've ever seen. How about you try to answer your own dumb ass question? What is the purpose of a shield? What has happened at every Occupy location? Now, at 1 + 1 and see if you can figure out the answer.

  • @richarddbeck If you're not intending to get burglarized, why put locks on your doors? If you're not intending to smash your head on the pavement, why wear a helmet? If you're not intending to impregnate somebody, why wear a condom? If you're not intending to get raped, why wear pants? If you're not intending to get fat, why go on a diet? If you're not intending to drop stuff on your feet, why wear steel-toe boots?

  • @venusbrain So is what you're telling me is that the OWS people showed up with shields because they had reason to believe they would need them... You just proved me right. Why don't the tea party people bring shields? They bring sound systems because they have a message worth saying. A protest is legal. A riot is not!

  • @richarddbeck Because the police haven't gone to Tea-party rallies to assault them. Teabaggers do, however, bring guns. Why are they bringing guns? Shields are used exclusively for defense, not assault. Guns are used for both. Also, OWS was using sound systems until the police took them away. That's why "Mic Check" was devised.

  • @venusbrain Maybe OWS people should exerciser their second amendment right and carry guns to protect their first amendment rights... You liberals want to get rid of the second amendment but keep the first amendment. Let me just say... A man or woman exercising his or her second amendment right will always have his first amendment right...

  • @richarddbeck Holy fuck; do you listen to yourself? First of all, who said anything about getting rid of the second amendment? More importantly, are you trying to tell me that deadly force is more justified than mere defensive shields? I can imagine what the fascists will say about that. Anyone who agrees with the fascists is exercising their rights but anyone who disagrees is a terrorist when they carry weapons.

  • Why do I see people continuing to talk about 'anarchy' and 'anarchism'? First of all, here were no anarchists involved here. Second of all, anarchy and anarchism are two different things. Do some reading before you type and generalize people. This is why the GOP convention had a bunch of HARMLESS so called 'anarchists' arrested and raided. That's some of the most fascist government behavior I have ever seen here in the US, and you people are fooled into thinking it was OK. PATHETIC

  • @crayyawn Anarchist beliefs come from philosophies that have nothing to do with chaos and disorder. And I'm not an anarchist.

  • riots are just the first part of the revolution

  • @McMuffin752 There is no revolution you stupid fuck. These are criminals and will learn some Baton Justice!

  • @leftgibson Ummm.. The forefathers that founded this country were also traitors and criminals. Just depends on who wins.

  • @mick7sp Comparing a bunch of pot smoking twink fanboys who wait for the police to arrest one of them and scream police brutality while filming on their I Phones, to the founding fathers is hysterical!

  • @leftgibson Right.. they only used, grain alcohol, wine, pot, opium and parchment and had slaves to get it for them. I guess it still comes down to perspective. Have you had these feelings that everyone that does not share your views was funny, always?

  • @mick7sp There aren't enough of you turds to fill a football stadium. You can't even hold a small park. You are a delusional fuck.

  • @leftgibson Sorry was not at the protest, I grew up/sold out(perspective) many years ago around the time I first went to work for IBM.

  • I saw a different video, claiming to be from a protester. She stated in her video that the protesters intentions was to enter and take over a building. She admitted that the intent of those assembled was to illegally occupy a building. No good can come from illegal acts. In this case, all it did was justify law enforcement to respond with force.

  • @john7101 Aside from the fact that it was about an entirely separate incident, you're clearly misinterpreting that video. What happened was that they were going to occupy an abandoned building. Abandoned property belongs to whoever claims it first then improves and maintains it. They had the legal right to do so. In fact, a noble person would say it was the responsible thing to do because they were going to convert wasted space into a community center.

  • im just saying since when is it ok for police to act on impulsive actions to stand for thier freedoms but its wrong for citezens to stand for themselves

  • Black Bloc tries to fight the protestors when you tell them not to throw stuff... they don't even know what side they're on. Black Bloc is the number one reason I haven't been going to occupy... good job guys.

  • Vote Ron Paul. Last chance for a peaceful revolution.

  • Oakland's just the start. I believe that as more and more money gets funnelled to the fat-cats in Washington and unemployment and poverty rises, Oakland will be a blueprint for every city in America pretty soon. You can only hold hands singing 'we shall overcome' for so long before you get pissed off at the lack of progress your peacefulness is getting you.

  • No it doesn't look good to burn an American flag the reason many are doing it is not because they do not care for their country it is because many who struggled can no longer stand to live in a country that has a constitution yet seems to not always abide by it.. There will be some horrible things that are anti United States there would have never been if the masses in movements like this could have seen honesty that is the policy.. Grafitti well when war occurs so does ignorance & this is war

  • WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?? well sure as hell not the cops, not the authority!

  • Virtually impossible to say unless there's footage of it or unless someone is actually on the ground.

That said, Occupy only gets coverage when something really bad happens, and that's total bullshit.

  • i was a very vocal supporter of the OWS movement when it first began in september. the violence is just embarrassing and now i keep quiet. i used to defend OWS and claim that the violence was being committed by outside groups or just a few bad apples, but when the various occupy GA's as a whole refused to condemn such actions, i lost my respect. i'm not going to waste my time trying to defend your movement when you won't do it yourself.

  • @christyc463 So now you don't want that change anymore? As soon as they start using violence against violence instead of just sitting on the ground while a cop casually walks by pepper spraying them, or just keep holding up their signs when the cops start cracking their skulls with tear gas canisters, the message doesn't matter anymore?

  • @christyc463 They only refuse to condemn acts of self-defense.

  • just a thought, not my view, but sometimes you need a radical group to make other groups seem less radical and get them attention. eg extreme environmental groups. Given the fact that we have the concept of private property, you can't just go in and take a building, just can't, I don't think they are bad people, but I'm not surprised the police clamped down on them, and not particularly against it either.

  • @IKiLLNRapeCOMMUNISTS Yes but those gangs have nothing to do with the occupy movement. Nearly everystate has gangs, it doesn't classify that state as a "Fucking dirty state". They don't act like a bunch of asses, the police provoke them, and a few are retards, and unfortunatly there are always cameras to watch them, but don't judge all of them because of a minority.

  • @airsoftlover23 Almost every gang started in California. That is the difference. The gangs in california tend to be more numerous & dangerous than other states as well. I think it is obviously these Oakland occupy were asking for it. You can see videos all over of how much more volitile the Oakland occupy is than the others. Completely different. These are a bunch of thugs. Like the typical Thug & Bimbo Cali nature. These loud fuckers too I thought New York was loud
  • you can spend months getting signatures for petitions that will be shredded in five seconds, you can protest as long as you do it in a way that is easily ignored by the target.

  • @Mysticfox2010 weird to see, but violence is bad.

  • @ironfight1 i agree violence is bad but at what point does it become necessary. if the target of the protests starts using force against a peaceful protest, i believe it becomes a matter of self defense.

  • @Mysticfox2010 I agree and that is what will happen if one is protesting peacefully and is beaten and nothing is done.. Then who then is the unjust so I for see a people fighting and it never had to be this way.. But it is going to occur when law makers challenge a people who loved their country but are now living in the streets. And are being beaten what then is lawful. I do not enjoy this and do not wish to take part but to watch so many take a beating and no one stop this is truly tragic.

  • “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revoluton inevitable” -JFK

Lets test his words shall we?

  • Burning the flag was settled by the courts years ago, its legal. The US is loosing face here and around the world for its Supreme Koch decisions and unfair policies. If the US keeps bankrupting other nations and itself, the world will come knocking and we will loose it all.

  • I'm not an anarchist but I am probably closer to their line of thinking than dems and especially repubs

  • @timoback3000 I think you say that because most people who call themselves democrats and republicans aren't really democrats nor republicans any more. They all pick one of the two leading parties just so they can get some name recognition campaign funds, and invitations to debates.

  • I completely agree, Cenk. Sure, it gathers a lot of attention but not the kind of attention it should be getting. I agree in taking action, but vandalism and flag-burning is not the kind of action Occupiers should be taking. There are ways to make statements that are peaceful. I confess that I cannot think of any at the moment, but I'm 99% ;) sure that there are ways. If John Lennon could find peaceful ways to protest Vietnam, Occupiers can find peaceful ways to protest the injustice that happe

  • America is burning slowly anyway. . might as well put some more gas on the fire, might as well do something before the Police State fully takes over

  • V was an anarchist

  • @whatsgoingon07 V was a marketing gimmick to make money from tools who think they have no other route to take.

  • 'Occupy Oakland mass arrest attempt caught on video' search that phrase and croww reference with RT America channel.

  • Occupy Oakland mass arrest attempt caught on video. This is recorded from an apartment window amd offers a good perspective.

  • who do i believe? not tha mufuckin pigs. i will say that much.

  • The Ocd movement had their time now it's a mere collection of splinter groups that were never part of an actual group. ( that's not entirely a negative thing )

    Viva la Ambiguity and irrevelance

  • The Fox News Tea Party attracts racists, and Occupy Wall Street attracts anarchists.

  • @nrf91 Possibly. However, as long as there is government there will be wealthy people to take advantage of their power. It is the government's nature. And all occupy wants to do is use power of government against the rich and corporations--basically the same thing the rich are doing to the 99%ers. How about we remove government from the equation, and remove government completely. Oh wait, you like your free government handouts like the rich does too? Fair is no government, period.

  • Viva la stool

  • I am very upset with how the occupiers are conducting themselves they need to understand god protest vs. bad. The thing is the message needs to get accross using the same methods the politicians use. Hit them where it hurts. Their bank accounts.

  • What kind of civil dissent DOES Cenk endorse?

  • so many people download now because we got ripped off by these companies for years, yes years. Before downloads how many one hit wonder cd's did you buy. Now here is a question with my 300+ vhs collection why can I not download the movie. I already own the damn thing and paid for it.

  • I'm an Iraq war veteran. I've spent a few years of my life training to fight and then fighting. I don't agree with these violent comments or violent aproaches to protesting. Violence is always messy and its not like a video game where one side loses and then disapears. The losing side always comes back for their revenge. If you want to live in a hatefull world keep fighting, but you will have to live with that hate forever and it will eat you from the inside out untill the day you die.

  • Violence is the best choice.

  • @leon625

These dumbfucks don't even do it right.

They should use highly organized tatics to take out peoples like rothschilds, soros, rockerfellers.

all these dumb fucks do is take it out on their own city HHAHAHHA fucking jack asses.

Let's close our own ports HUR HUR so our city can lose a little money HUR HUR

What a fucking retarded state California is

  • fight the power

  • It may feel like these protesters are unfoucased, and they don't know what they are doing but I do. Slowly but Surely the american population has become more and more alienated from the Government that is supposed to represent us and help to take care of us. They violate our rights and take them away, the are no where to be seen when we do need help, and thier too busy serving buisnesses and themselves to do thier job.

I'm really thinking about moving to Canada.

  • They should go home and get a job.

  • These asshole Occupy shits are mere useful idiots the government uses to deligitamize any movement or demonstration. Observe how often they are compared to the Tea Party while there is nothing in common between the groups. Hammering the groups no one likes gives the govt. the precedent to hammer any and all other groups.

  • Also, all it's going to take is some protester throwing a rock and giving a police officer a concussion or something and shit's going to go down and ruin the whole protest for everyone. That's how riots start.

  • Are you idiots? When you act like anarchists and rioters you give police all the grounds they need to crack skulls. That's the beauty of non-violence.

  • @stchaltin---RIGHT!--LETS ALL JUST WAIT OUR TURN TO BE PUT ON OBAMA'S KILL LIST---NDAA----YOU HAVE FUN IN OBAMA'S FEMA DEATH CAMPS-----ULESS YOU'RE MURDERED FIRST!!!!------PEOPLE MUST UNITE NOW.... BEFORE THERE'S NOBODY LEFT TO UNITE WITH!....

  • OBAMA DID IT !

  • I hope we see more violence. The time has come for the proletariat to rise against the elite who keep a noose around all of out necks, and the only way to do that is to start killing.

  • @Hematite1000 Hell yes brother!! I agree!! Some people just don't know!

  • city hall should have been smashed

  • Seriously I think anyone who can't turn their emotions off and be cold as a snake shouldn't be supporting Black Bloc tactics because their passions cloud their judgement and make them do stupid ineffective shit that ends up harming protests and helping the 1%. Also Black Bloc supporters have a tendency to take credit for things that would have happened without them, like when a movement gains strength because of mass layoffs, they think they did it.

It's not just about image it's about effects.

  • Black Bloc supporters usually don't comprehend that not all tactics are equally effective and that the effectiveness of their tactics aren't determined by how they feel or how justified they think they are, but by results.

Look if violence and vandalism were being used effectively I'd be all for it, but what Black Bloc supporters normally do and promote isn't effective, it's harmful. But tell that to them, and they get stuck in this false binary where all their critics are just hippies.

  • @Laughingblades

    or they are just retarded

  • @Laughingblades

In Canada at the G20 protest police posed as so-called "Black-Bloc" and tried to instigate a riot near certain community organizers so they could have them arrested.

One could easily pay a PI to infiltrate a group and lead them into very poor PR.

You sound like you should be able to convince them to do it right! Perhaps they have the same impairment caused by strict ideological and dogmatic ideas as fundamentalist Christians. Its hard for a lazy brain to escape it.

  • @ThereAreNoUnionThugs Good on you for pointing that out too I can't tell you how many times Police instigators have been dressed as Black Bloc.

Because the police want you to get violent, if you get violent it prevents anyone from hearing what your message is about, it makes you look like you provoke the police response, it kills recruiting power, it kills support, so the police try to promote that sht.

That needs to be called out and pointed out more you're spot on.

  • Cenk doesn't know the difference between the Black Bloc tactics affinity clique and Occupy.

Black Bloc is a tactic used by anarchists who subscribe to the notion that violence and vandalism are an effective way to fight capitalism and fight the state. Occupy protesters are not Black Bloc. Occupy is a peaceful movement, that's in it's declaration of Occupation since day one. There may be overlap, some Occupy protesters may use Black Bloc tactics, but Black Bloc is not Occupy.

  • @Laughingblades never the less, it would appear there is a small "Black Bloc" in Oakland

  • No, Cenk, Black Bloc broke into city hall as a separate protest on the same day. Check your facts plz, the Black Bloc protesters themselves announced that it was a separate protest.

  • @Laughingblades

Black bloc are some of the biggest losers known to man.

  • Throw in a couple of ringers, not the first time peaceful demonstrations have been infiltrated with instigators trying to rile things up.

  • Fuck the police.

  • @Riceqween01 back your comment up kid, or are you just trying to be cool?

  • there is no such thing as Santa Claus, Easter Bunny , or a honest and intelligent police officer I am more afraid of the police officers than I am of the criminals because the government hires retarded police officers I believe they recruit them from the Mafia or the zoo most people are afraid of the police because they are armed and retarded hurt you at any time we need to start defending ourselves from police the police are cowards police said that are cowards

  • The occupy movement is a waste of time. Because the American people are held hostage by debt and are forced to work like slaves. This country is under attack by illegals(not their fault) and a flood of work visa immigrant workers. The bottom line is no one wants to lose their home trying to fight a useless cause. Nothing will happen until enough Americans are out of work, indigent and FORCED to do something.

  • To me it doesn't really matter which side started doing stuff first. We've already seen in Oakland that the police will fire bean bags, tear gas, flashbangs without any bottle or rock throwing. They know next time the cops get in the way that they will use all of this force without anything coming from them, so throw as many rocks or bottles at these pig bastards as you can, who cares who starts it, the police are going to do it either way and fuck just sitting around getting hit by the pigs.

  • I LOVE MY CORPORATE JET!!!!

  • What are they supposed to do? Just stand there and let the police beat them down? Maybe it's because the police in Oakland are more violent and corrupt than in other cities. That's why the protesters are forced to fight back. Look at Greece and other countries. Maybe this is what is needed for the elites to stop ignoring.

  • @jayleeb1 - You're supposed to protest in a lawful, respectful & intelligent way and if you did that the police would reciprocate.

  • @StompingRabbits Wow your stupidity knows no bounds. Unless, of course, you're a PAID TROLL. Nobody could be THAT FUCKING STUPID.

  • Goodnight america, lets just go back to sleep. HEY WILL YOU KEEP IT DOWN YOU MANGY KIDS! goodnight.

  • Story: How to Kill a Wolf - (Eskimo Style)

Up in the arctic circle there is tribe of Eskimo's who have learned to set

a very simple yet effective trap for wolves.

First they sharpen a knife razor sharp. Then they dip it in the blood of a seal they have killed.

Now they take the knife out into the wilderness where they think a wolf might be.

There the bury the handle of the knife in the snow leaving the blood

popsicle standing up and they leave.

  • @ToeInspector After a while a wolf will come along guided by his sences and will to live.He will being licking it, enjoying every taste.

Over and over he licks the knife and soon his tongue is so cold he cannot

feel it any longer. It's numb. But his taste for blood is growing and he

is not getting as much as he wants - you see, It cuts

into his tongue again and again but he does not even notice for his tongue

can no longer feel anything. . The wolfs own blood now flows from his cut

    tongue.

  • @ToeInspector The wolf is thrilled, blood is now more plentiful and he continues

    to lick more and more.

Soon he notices something is wrong, he is getting weaker not stronger.

Since he knows blood as food he increases his efforts to feed on the ever

increasing flow of blood. His last thoughts are of how good the now warm

blood tastes. Within minutes he licks his last and collapse next to the

now fully exposed knife. Here the Eskimo knows he will find the wolfs

    body the next morning.

  • @ToeInspector - Better get that wolf to a qualified veterinarian quick!

  • So it's the Occupy movements word against the word of the police.

    Lets see, who to trust?

Peaceful protesters that are just exercising their 1st amendment rights and are just simply concerned for our nation.

    or

The Oakland police which had a very nasty record of assaulting innocent people who didn't do anything wrong and severely injuring people in some cases.

Ohhh man, what a freaking tough choice! Both are OBVIOUSLY equally trustworthy judging by their records!

  • the movement needs political and / or other representatives! people will continue to act like this without something to direct all of this anger thru. In order to move forward we need leaders...sorry but it's true. ANONS can't do this alone

  • @butterchip Honestly, Oakland OWS should be held responsible for this. They should find a way to control and monitor the protest/marches. BTW, burning the American flag, our nation's flag was a terrible act. I and other OWS protesters here in the east coast & mid-west will not tolerate such acts. Leaders? The movement leaders are the people who're involved peacefully.

  • @ikjbdsifgbilqea Honestly? Fuck the Babylon system, and those who support it.You can not serve Good and Evil, you must choose.

  • @ToeInspector O.K.. I'll choose peace. I'll serve peace. I'll serve nonviolence. Good and evil is irrelevant.

  • @ikjbdsifgbilqea Until we get a piece,fuck peace."~

  • @ToeInspector -Think about getting some rational thought first...
