Whilst a fan would be in the wrong for jumping over the barrier/into the ring. Anyone other than trained security (if this was the UK for instance, SIA cert'd security) would would be liable to be sued or at worst have criminal charges for assult brought against them.

Its actually the wrestling promotor/company responsibility to ensure that they have enough security around the ring/in the crowd, so as well as the wrestler. it could also be argued that the promotor is also liable.
