I just LOVE this!!! I've listened to several other versions of Celeste Aida on YouTube from various tenors, and Carreras' version is my hands down favorite. To me, this is just stunningly beautiful. Thank you so much for answering my request!

Very vigorous at the beginning and warm - after. One of the most beautiful arias ever. I liked it, although I have other preferences for this particular aria. Thanks for sharing.

I find very delusional the opinion about his voice, that he is lyric tenor.
This recording is done in 1972, so Carreras was 26 here and he is singing this aria so well!
No any lyric tenor would sang it in 26!
Besides so powerfuly and metalled ring!

The conductor was Hebert Von Karajan, Aida Mirella Freni Amonasro Piero Cappuccilli and the record is made in 1972 I have this one.
