  • This music opens my heart and takes me to the past... It sets me free and brings nostalgy.... :)

  • How any human could write a piece of music so beautiful is beyond me. It seems to me more than sublime; infact it might be considered miraculous. It may be similar to that being played at the entrance of the pearly gates!

  • Absolutely the best version I ever heard.

  • Sentir, esta inmensa nostalgia de tu amor…

Vivir, sin poder transformarla en realidad,

sabiendo, que es tan breve la vida,

y estaremos distantes toda una eternidad…

    j.m.moreno.- Nocturno Nª 7 "

  • Overall great performance, however their lacked climax and rubato in some areas.

  • La Chanson de l'adieu

  • Because I'm a sad person I love this music and ''tristesse'' means that in french, it means sadness, Chopin was also a sad man and his music is for sad people to find their souls and this young man he really brings ''sadnes'' to life..

  • Very good for a 13-year-old. He's big for thirteen, too. I like the church background for this piece.

  • i can't believe that he was only 13 at that time.

    he looked like 25

  • thank you... beautiful!!! good feeling... and you have a beautiful Chopin... good job

  • His playing is magical.

  • Beautiful! I was truly moved.

  • IS IT HER OR HIM, NICE PLAYING!!!

  • I prefer etude No3 played on the bagpipes

  • i love that he's charming and i like the hair whats up with it

  • beautiful. gorgeous technique as well

  • good god the lad is a genius. i could never play like that in a million years, and he doesnt even need sheet music!! damn him..! one thing i have that he slightly lacks though is the passion,, but for me my passion does not translate into fine playing xD

  • Lovely tones; nicely played.

  • se è così sega a 13 anni figuriamoci a 40... i nostri pollini (ieri) e bacchetti (oggi) sono ben altra roba!!

  • Epic...although, a hair cut would make it sound better. and i bet i will get lots of thumbs down. keep playing though and gz. im learning to play it. im inspired...

  • Screw you, his hair is AWESOME

  • Honestly?

to be fair it is a little too cool to be true...and dont get me started on the jackups! justt joking, nice playing btw.

    beauty

  • @Crimmyblues What has his hair got to do with it???

  • I say to hell with all your fancy degrees and grades. Music is to be enjoyed and expressed, it's not a competition, it's not limited by 'grades'. I never took any musical educations or attended piano lessons, yet I still enjoy playing the piano by ear and sheet.

    Take it easy people, peace!

  • he needs emotion,

  • where's the emotion??? there's got to be some emotion in the guy even though he's 13...

the sound's so ringy it makes the sound better (of course that's to me)

  • cooooll..

  • Sugoi ne!

    You play very beautifully! Gints-san!

I'm still in Grade 2 but I play pieces beyond my grade, For example Fantasie Impromptu..

I'll try this piece you just played next..

[talks to herself] Gambatte Hime!! You can do it!!

[talks to Gints]By the way, you don't look 13 to me...

Am I really that short... T.T

[talks to herself again] No..That's not possible, my friend is shorter than me, I guess

[talks to Gints]Anyways! Good luck on your next performances, or something...

    ~Ciao

  • genius is somewhat exaggerating, but it was pretty good. very accomplished. could do with a bit more passion where needed and subtely where needed though.

  • you dont look 13..you play it better than me :(

  • I didn't hear the grace notes at 0:37 and 0:39. Are they there, and I just didn't hear them?

  • yeah, he didnt mark em very well.. but he did good

  • Nice.. I love this song.. that was beautiful..

  • can anybody tell me what grade this piece is...?

  • overall, it's beyond grade 8. mid-diploma level, but if you take the slow section on it's own then probably only grade 6.

  • I played it in grade 8..but I don't believe in those things, you can play Rach's 3 but if it awful it's awful, you can play Beethoven's Op. 49 sonatas but if it's great it's great.

  • I'm in 2º... and can play it :)

  • I'm in 1st and I can play it too .. GOD, you need years! xD

  • thanx, i used the left foot because i had to use my right foot for the normal pedal ( the one on the right) at the same time

  • Amazing playing, Gints. You, sir, have definitely impressed me with this performance, thus earning you the Epic Performance Title. :D

by the way.. Why do you use your left foot to use the damper pedal? just asking

  • ...such beautiful music. i can play this exact same piece, but somehow its different when Gints plays it. When he plays it i picture a girl all alone in a straw hat next to windmills and beautiful green hills with daisies showering the ground. When i play it i picture a woman going out on a boat to find her lover, and then drowning D; lol Hm.... ur also quite cute too. :D lol

  • Very very nice, Gints!

  • Gints, this is wonderful playing, and this is not because we are both Latvian!!! 5 stars to you!

    -Benita

  • good job

but you seem a bit stiff and unemotional. Need to work on the expression and interpretation of the meaning of "tristesse."

  • being 13 years old is perfect!

  • I don't believe that "tristesse" is Chopin's title, but an editor's interpretation. I have seen this piece under different titles.

  • nice playing. i love the song

  • i enjoy listening to you very much. congratulations. this one of my favorites.
