this is the simple end of the "surge mission" after stabilzation was reached, and Iraqi Army was trained the Brigades that wen there would be drawn down. A brigade is between 1500-3000 men. There are over half a million US military personnel there, another quarter of a million contractors, and about 100,000 Iraqi Army and Police so far. saying they're 4000, 2 brigades would be 8000 or 1.6% of total combat troops, not really a drawown, a bit over 1 and a half for every 100 troops there?
