@EstavanCruz I talked with some of my fellow soldiers from back then, and none of us can figure out how/why such a large number of innocent people were killed. There was something bigger going on I think-and I was not in the loop to know that. It was a bad situation for sure, but I/my fellow soldiers did our best and as far as I can remember were not part of any loss of life that wasn't militant. @EstavanCruz I talked with some of my fellow soldiers from back then, and none of us can figure out how/why such a large number of innocent people were killed. There was something bigger going on I think-and I was not in the loop to know that. It was a bad situation for sure, but I/my fellow soldiers did our best and as far as I can remember were not part of any loss of life that wasn't militant. I do not know anyone that wanted to hurt the people of Panama-just the opposite.

En el año 1989 cursaba el cuarto año y de repente se nos avisa que Panamá había sido invadida, recuerdo que corrimos a prender el tele y solo estaba como imagen la bandera estadounidense. Como estrategia intervenieron todas las estaciones y televisoras para que los panameños no pudieramos darnos cuenta de la masacre. Al principio todos brincabamos de alegría pero no nos imaginabamos la magnitud del daño a nuestro país.

Yo tengo en Panama casi un año y no veo ninguna "lucha", lo que si he visto es uno de los niveles de educacion basica mas bajos de la america latina.En la region el Panameño esta siendo estereotipado por su falta de educacion y modales. Ver a ñiños tirando basura en la calle o actuando como patanes es tan comun que solo los extrangeros nos escandalizamos. Esa es la IDENTIDAD que quieres?

@panailde Hoy por hoy, Panama es el pais con mayor crecimiento economico de la region, un paraiso para la inversion. Sin embargo, al extrangero se le maltrata, hay una oposicion marcada hacia el desarrollo urbano y el bajo nivel academico parece estar estancado en sus indices mas peligrosos, porque se refleja hasta en los mas altos personeros del gobierno. En la generacion de relevo se evidencia la indiferencia academica y la pataneria de calle. Asi que pregunto: cual lucha?
