GM made so many mistakes. I wish Pontiac would have gone independent. It was the best. I always to stick with pontiac throughout my life. After seeing the many ways GM screwed Pontiac over, I don't think I'd ever buy a chevy. Guess I'm goin Dodge or learn how to work on cars so I can follow through with my plan.
I thought that I was the only one who realized the true genius of Pontiac and DeLorean. It is glad to see others who appreciate Pontiac for what it is...or was.

In regards to what Supermuise said, if you wanna compare top dollar on a 1969 model then compare the cream of the crop: The Z/28 and the Trans Am. Knowing that the Trans Am only built 689 cars, they're worth a chunk of change. Also only 8 were built as convertibles, bringing the value into the 6 digit figure. J.D. did his homework as he built a quality car that out performed the camaro & the mustang based on suspension geometry and engine location, thus equalizing the F/R weight ratio.
I wouldn't call a firebird lame. Many road tests showed the firebird out performed the camaro and the mustang. The '69 TA does sell in the six figures.
the 70 firebird was faster than the charger of 69 and the 70 barracuda because all three cars were rated at the same horsepower but the charger was the heaviest barracuda was mediem and firebird was lightest but just like the 65 galaxie with 675 hp witch was the world record until the 98 mclaren f1 the firebirds 500 hp ram air five was ignored and then hp droped.

id still take a camaro over a lame firebird any day.
Its not the fat that they can go faster, its the fact that a 69 Camaro RS/SS is worth 10 times more than a 69 firebird
