if you still want to know, you can use virtual dub to instead of compress is to "direct stream copy" the video. for like 50mb to 5mb. zmbv codec doesn't seem to let you recompress with the size increasing to 10 times the orginal.
finally, i load my dosbox videos into windows movie maker and it gets in fine and everything, but when i save the movie the minutes keep counting up constantly
:( Damn you, weird-ass codec! Hm. Maybe we can convince the DOSBox crew to change to XviD (my preferred codec as well) for one of their future releases...
Thanks for this, Cenobyte! Just wish there was another way... On to Second Reality!
exactly my idea, it would save a lot more time. Now you have to record in dosbox (at a very low resolution) and Virtual Dub will generate VERY HUGE avi files.
So yes, I wish the DOSBOX team would make a compact and ready-to-import video recording format.
LATE UPDATE: If anyone was keeping track, apparently someone already UPLOADED a DOS-perfect version of Second Reality up here. So I went with Buttman: The Terminated instead. :D
Thanks :)
