  • Thanks :)

  • Superb work, and very clever. I'm impressed! Thank you.

  • Thank you so much :) You just saved me hours of cursing and throwing stuff at walls XD

  • if you still want to know, you can use virtual dub to instead of compress is to "direct stream copy" the video. for like 50mb to 5mb. zmbv codec doesn't seem to let you recompress with the size increasing to 10 times the orginal.

  • Hey - thanks man. Is that Daggerfall or Arena you're playing?

  • Whow, the video clips actually work now.. thank you cenobyte :)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Finally, a solution to the problem! I appreciate the video, worked perfectly fine, cheers.

  • finally, i load my dosbox videos into windows movie maker and it gets in fine and everything, but when i save the movie the minutes keep counting up constantly

  • have you done the whole VirtualDub process before importing the videos into Windows Movie Maker?

  • that i haven't done recently but im going too do it now..

  • Thank you! I'd have been cursing Movie Maker and the DOSBox people forever had this not been around.

  • :( Damn you, weird-ass codec! Hm. Maybe we can convince the DOSBox crew to change to XviD (my preferred codec as well) for one of their future releases...

Thanks for this, Cenobyte! Just wish there was another way... On to Second Reality!

  • exactly my idea, it would save a lot more time. Now you have to record in dosbox (at a very low resolution) and Virtual Dub will generate VERY HUGE avi files.

So yes, I wish the DOSBOX team would make a compact and ready-to-import video recording format.

  • LATE UPDATE: If anyone was keeping track, apparently someone already UPLOADED a DOS-perfect version of Second Reality up here. So I went with Buttman: The Terminated instead. :D

  • ohh ignore that comment, i made a mistake. thot this was a different video

  • when i went to options, i didnt see anything about downloading codecs automatically. wat do i do, please help me!!
