  • wow there is a TON of symbolism in this

  • This feels more like a Daffy cartoon than a Popeye cartoon.

  • Peshkov1986 Hello I like Famous Studios - Popeye - The Hungry Goat (1943), I have friends who speak Spanish, please it could be subtitled or translated into Spanish, thank you very much, I hope your answer.

  • Nice reverse-play near the beginning, as the goat starts singing, then goes back to the beginning when he realizes what the title is!

  • I would've ripped that goat's fucking horns out

  • Just so everyone knows, the goat's voice in this cartoon was provided by Gilbert Mack.

  • this reminds me of Woodpeckin

  • Why was the goat eating everything?.

  • when does goat eat metal wut teh flip ????

  • This episode was scary & dark :S

1st the goat is talking backwards.. then he's trying to kill himself :S

Not even mentioning the evil satanic laugh at the end :S xD

  • love this color version!!!

  • There's A Re-Dubbed Version Of This Cartoon!

    C. Martin Croker-Popeye, Admirral

    Jeff Bennett-Billy The Goat

    Nancy Cartwright-Kid

  • @johnnieRad why are their voices redubbed?

  • This Is The Colorized Version

  • @johnnieRad Colorized by the Koreans in 1968, the same people who colorized the Porky Pig cartoons. Much of the animation is bad, let alone the color.

  • I like the music and the frame by frame sequence in "The Hungry Goat" between Popeye and the goat.

Was the voice of the goat was the late Arnold Stang?

  • @pernelldh I don't know if it's Arnold, but it's possible.

  • 4:26 FOURTH WALL! YOU'RE BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!

  • What happened to the film at 3:41?

  • what was the first color one

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen No, this is a colorized version. This short was originally made in black and white, and it can be found in its original form on Popeye the Sailor Volume 3.

  • looking at the very beginning now i realised it

  • now I can't stop saying "I'll get a meal that jingle jangle jingles!!!" lol =P

  • Man I don't like this cartoon too much.. I think they could done a better job + the goat is enoying...

  • 3:58 "As for myself, I'm going to the movies. Nyah!" lol I love that!

I did the same thing last year with "As for myself, I'm going to Disney World. Nyah!"

  • This is a colorized version of the cartoon. If you want to see the original ending (in which the Paramount logo appears on the screen in the cinema where the goat is hiding), it's been restored to the cartoon in all its B&W splendor in Vol. 3 of the recent Popeye DVD set.

  • wow!! this is great!!, thanx buddy!!

  • oh no, colorized!?

How about a Billy the Kid cartoon in Technicolor instead?

  • LOL
