I work on computer eqpt for a living and the problem with netgear is they seem to fail often after about 6 months use and netgear has a gimmick that after 6 months you have a warranty but you have to pay for support and unless it is completely dead you have to pay $69 for support and you better off to go and buy another router with that money and get one with a real 1yr warranty and support.
