@Artints i'm not sure what the pickups were in the vista jaguars, however stock necks on the vistas are a true 22 fret 24" scale neck (like a jaguar, mustang, music master, etc)
no jagmaster has ever had a 24.75" neck (stock, and if yours does, i'm impressed that it intonates)
Loads of info on all the versions of the Jagmaster can be found here:
Colors: Sunburst, Sonic Blue, Vintage White, Candy Apple Red, Black
Positives: vista tone humbuckers, vintage style peg head tuners (reminiscent of kluson), vintage style neck with high-gloss, true 24" scale, vintage style tortoise shell pickguard, Japanese Fender quality, better resale value
Second Issue (CIJ- 97.5-98):
Body Material: Basswood
Scale: 24"
Colors: Colors: Sunburst, Sonic Blue, Candy Apple Red, Black
@serfx Then i dont know is mine a first edition or the second hmmm if i but my serial into some searsxh thing (dont remember wich)fender.com maybe... it says 96-97 so dunno.... hmmm. it is not a problem but i would be clad to know more of my Jagmaster:)
@serfx and about the 24.75 neck if there where never made any vistas with 24.75 length then i maybe measured it wrong.i just should to it again:D.oh my.... will see.hope i dont got some strange thing...:)
Hey serfx, was your Jagmaster originally 24" scale? If so, a 25.5" neck won't intonate correctly. You'll find out when u play past the 12th fret on all the strings. Ya can't mess with scale length without moving the bridge back - A Major modification. It just won't be in tune across the fretboard.
@76mishmash the jagmaster is one of the current production runs with a 24" conversion neck, so swapping it to a 25.5" scale neck does work fine, just needs slight intonation adjustments, but nothing majour.
if it was a vista jagmaster then swapping the neck would not work, as the bridge and neck on the Vista series is a true 24" scale setup, the current runs are conversion necks with the spacings set for 25.5" scale
@76mishmash you can also swap the current run Classic Vibe Duo-sonics to a 25.5" scale if you choose, as they use a conversion neck, or alternatively put a conversion shortscale neck onto a strat/tele with minor intonation adjustments but no need to move the bridge. however you can not put a jagmaster/duo-sonic conversion neck on a mustang or jaguar or vista jagmaster, as they will not work.
Screw the 25.5 scale. Gibson got it right with the happy medium 24.75. I would have put on the warmouth conversion neck with ebony board. A couple dimarzios and a floyd rose bridge. Then you would have a nice guitar. Just my 2 cents.

I actually thought about putting an Affinity Tele neck on a Jagmaster.
Any trouble fitting it into the neck pocket, coz of the square heel and all???

@jayrobb9 not really, there is a little bit of a space, but it is not noticeable unless you are up close
