  • Hey what's up??? I have a question about Buddha. With so many god's in this world and prophacies about the end of the world and so many religions what makes any god true and if you follow Buddha i want you to know that I am not trying to take away your faith in any way because i respect anyone who is for love & peace. I just wonder!!! How do you know your god is true or any god!

  • well in buddhist there is no such thing as god,but buddhist can believe in god if one wants too

  • @Thet3

Learn Dhamma my friend you can tell yourself better than the other

  • @Thet3 My friend first of all try to undersand what this person taught....He rejected the thought of imaginatory concept of GOD.....No superficial concept of God will liberate u out of this suffering...U alone can do so...

He just taught four universal TRUTHS:

    1)There is suffering

2)There is reason behind this suffering

3)There is an End to this suffering

4)The middle path that ends all this suffering.

Just practice it and u will come to know what is the TRUTH!!!!

  • You're welcome. Thank you so much for your kind comment

  • Thank you, thank you! May I call you Bhante?

This story is one of my favorites. I used it as a lesson last time I was Thailand to instruct some friends that sometimes Buddhists' devotion is misdirected: you see, they love visiting the very beautiful temple, lighting candles and perfumed incense, listening to the monks chant ... the experience delights our senses, but it is DHAMMA that makes us true Buddhists. Read it, learn it, understand it, practice it.

  • You are welcome, buddmar! Thank you so much for your great wisdom sharing on this comment. What you said is really true. See the Dhamma, understand the Dhamma, see the truth and see the Buddha. If one doesn't understand what the Buddha's teaching, even he/she stays close to the Buddha, watching the Buddha , that doesn't mean see the Buddha yet. Yes, you can call me Bhante or any addressing that you like to call, buddmar.

  • Thanks for video, peace and love.

  • Thank you, razzberrysunshine! I am glad to like it.

  • Sorry Khmerbuddhist and all wise people as well. This is what I have learned from my father. It's true or not I am not sure because I am still an ignorance full of greedy and anger.

    Thanks for providing this video!

  • Thank you cambowalkers! You interpreting is so wonderful and it's true for that.

  • My father used to be a monks for more than 6 years. He told me the Buddha is inside us and in front of us everyday but we can't see him because our eyes are covered by greet, anger, ignorance, jealousness, revenge, and all kinds of defilements. It's like the moon thats covered by cloud. If we purify our mind to wash all kinds as above, we will see the Buddha clearly.

  • Dear venerable Sir , I'm so happy for your advice . I'm a simply student , I don't know how to go in the right path as you , but I think that , all Buddhist monks and simply Buddhists cannot see the truth of Buddha because of desire, hatred, craving, ignorance as you replied of my question Q.-6 . That's is the weakness way for Buddhists today .

Peace and happiness be with you !

    nutier

  • Dhamma Brother nutier! Thank you so much for your kind words of wisdom on this comment. The word "see the truth" means "get enlightenment". So the Buddha teaching this word from the deepest doctrine He found and told his disciple not to attach with the Buddha's body. It's not wrong if we see the Buddha by our normal eyes, but that's not the truth and not what the Buddha wanted.

  • When we see the Buddha by our wisdom eyes, that's mean we see the real Buddha, not Buddha in body, but the truth. This means seeing the Four Noble Truths. I am a normal person the same as you and trying to walk on the right path too. I am not seeing the right path yet, everything I know is not from my wisdom eyes but from learning from the teacher. This is not means seeing the truth or seeing the right path yet.

  • I hope one day I will reach the right path, no guarantee it's this life or next life but still hope I will if I don't give trying. Even we "Buddhists" don't see the truth yet, but it's not mean we are weak and the Buddhists everyday are not weak, but get stronger and stronger from day to day. We are not weak because we don't stand still or wait for any luck from anything, but we try to practice try to learn how to walk on the right path.

  • In this case, even though we aren't able to see the Buddha in the truth yet, but don't be hopeless. Keep try to do good deed, following his teaching and we will see Him any day or any life if we can't see Him in this life. May peace and happiness be with you always!

  • Wonderful message!

    Great work Bhante!

  • Thank you Bhante!

  • Very nice work, great message!

I am a Buddha messenger but haven't seen the Buddha yet! :] Thanks!

  • You have a raison Buddhamessenger , I'm too , my parents , my grand parents were Buddhists as you but they haven't seen the Buddha . I think that, He was in His Nirvana that we couldn't see Him .

    nutier

  • No, Dhamma Brother nutier. That's not because the Buddha in His Nirvana. We can't see the Buddha because we still can't find the truth. Thank you for watching. :)

  • Thank you so much, Buddhamessenger for your supporting. Yes, it's hard to see the Buddha. Not only us even the people in the Buddha time, they went to Jetavaram everyday they still can't see the Buddha because they didn't see the truth. So in this meaning we don't talk about the Buddha as the body but we talk about the reality or the truth that the Buddha found.

  • :):):)

  • 1st of all i appreciate for posting the message of buddha to al of us...being a buddhist for almost 27 yrs, i would like to tell u about the word "buddha" . Buddha means "th awakened one".if u urself r awakened one, ur buddha...u seek buddha in urself...thts wat buddhism really is.
