I have a big brother who is in the air force. Served two tours in Iraq and I'm mighty proud of him. When he was serving his first tour, I sent him and his brothers and sisters a box full of Girl Scout Cookies and they loved it. My way of saying thank you.

I'm a Patriot Guard Rider. This was my first mission for a fallen soldier. I don't ride a bike, I follow in my car (cage) to escort our Brave Warriors to their final resting place. To my surprise, I didn't cry until I drove away from Ft. Sam Cemetery. This feeling of duty came over me as I stood with the flag. I wanted his loved ones to see their loss is not in vain. Brandon died a Hero. I stood tall, silent and with sorrow and with pride . American pride, given me by LCpl Lara. Always Faithful.

Im not the toughest guy in the world, but im not one to cry often, but this brought tears to my eyes. Sad cause he lost his life so instantaneously, but also almost tears of joy/shock that SO MANY people came and lined the streets in support, and I bet 99% of those people don't even know him. I feel so bad for his family, I can only imagine his mourning family...

im 17 today and im a junior in high school i plan on goin to the marines next year when i graduate, if i dont make it home and become a fallen soldier i want my tribute to be like this.... i know hes proud of everyone who showed respect to him by coming out! i know one thing he has all my respect for giving his life for his country!

When I was young, I once thought that this country was horrible and stupid. Then once I grew up and got a career and family. I realized that everyday there is some guy I never met fighting for my rights and freedoms. That same guy is willing to die for me and we never met. The Armed Forces, Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMTs are the people that make this country great. Thank you sir and we will never forget. I'm sure you're in heaven now and enjoying the peace. Thank you.

very happy to say I served with Devil Dogs like this one in Iraq(Camp Delta)Al Kut and also Afghanistan(Camp Leatherneck,LSA 4,then I was moved to the new LSA behind the new chow hall by the LZ for the Ospreys)so yes I am very proud as a service member to say i have done many things and happy to say we as a unit never lost a man in combat(so far,praise GOD)so all I wanna say Marines is keep taking care of each other please.
