@SICsupraman youtube is all about resolutions and containers

1080p must be 1920x1080

720p must be 1280 x 720

360 and 480 are 4.3 720 and 1080 are 16.9 ie widescreen

so something is going wrong in your filming on 1 of these fronts, or you are editing the 1080p source into a non standard resolution and thus only getting 360p on youtube.

you can probably find a guide somewhere on the internet but its easy enough
