The battle sequences were better filmed than I expected, but watching a meagre handful of Russians charge for like two miles over empty hills screaming all the while is rather comical, to say the least. The Russians would have only really oo-rah'd in the direct face of actual adversity, and even then a full infantry charge isn't really necessary against two guys laying telephone wire.. they would have probably just crawled up and shot them both or let them run.
