  • this is just badass, thats all.

  • why would you put your arm down there while its running lol thats crazy!!!

  • a 2.3 stroker can hit 400 crank on a 14b

  • whats a 2.3 stroker

  • @MSN91091 stroker means when you increase the stroke of the piston by putting a different crank on the engine.. in this case they have put a 4G64 100mm crank over a 4G63 88mm crank... so the added 12mm gives it a longer stroke of 100mm...

2.3 means because its longer stroke, its now a 2.3ltr engine compared to 2ltr stock engine...

  • so they take the crank from a 4g64 and but it in a 4g63 and it becomes a 2.3L.

and what do you mean they but it over the 4g63 crank..

and you seem to be more knowledgeable then me in dsm's. pass down the knowledge please. i am just a nope. ..........

  • @Dasithkg why be a dumb question if the stroke gets longer does the compression get higher. wouldnt it be compressing the air more.

  • @Dasithkg might be a dumb question, if the stroke gets longer does the compression get higher. wouldnt it be compressing the air more.

  • @coalandnuclear compression would get high... making a stroker just doesnt stop at making its capacity bigger. you need stroker pistons too... and more than likely it would also get more aggressive camshafts too.... so the custom pistons could and would lower the compression and also the camshaft lift and degree will also lower the dynamic compression... so its actually up to whoever builds it to decide what they want from the engine

  • @Dasithkg thanks, im not building an engine i just thought it was logical

  • @coalandnuclear if the stroke gets longer, it's builds more twisting force ( torque). a very unexplained and not fully correct but im a diesel mechanic and roughly, the shorted the stroke the faster the pistons move the more combustion you have the more horsepower you have in away like i said not explained and fully correct but, in a diesel it could have 452hp and 2100ft-lbs of torque( Cat C-15 TT) thats becasue a diesel has alot long stroke then a gaser

  • @coalandnuclear that why you have all the RPMs on a gaser not a diesel and thats why a diesel has alot more torque is roulghly again i will say a vary simple explenation is the longer the stroke the more torque and the shorter the stroke more hp, but you are correct to a certin point about the more compression but coalandnuclear is semi correct about the pistons could lower the compression but not always. hope that helps abit if you want to know more i can tell you just send me a message.

  • @ThourRacer i mainly thought a diesel had so much torgue simply because of its compression, dont they have like 18;1 or higher compression as opposed to this gsx witch stock is only like 7.5:1. and morely a long stroke engine is gonna have lower rpm' since it has to move more per stroke.

  • @coalandnuclear correct, actually, the CAT C15 twin turbo has an 18.1 compression ration come to think of it. and the longer strokes will tame your RPM but you can still have a alot of range compred to a diesel like the 383 stroker on a strip shifts over 7000rpm but gain most torque aroun 4500 rpm. mainly you still have to have a higher RPM on a gasser to get your torque compared to a diesel where you have max torque at like 2000RPM or lower sometimes. the c15 has around 2085ft.lb of torque

  • @coalandnuclear at 2000RPM so i don't know if you get what im saying lol but having higher compression will sort of drop your RPM range but not to much.

  • so did you go with 100mm crank? and did you have to do any work to the head for the stroker?

  • i built a stroker and its a seven bolt.....there is nothing wrong with it it was bad bearings from the factory.

  • Comment removed

  • that thing looks like its running 400+hp

  • My Eclipse Smokes all Yahs thats arguing!

  • It is a 4g63 num nuts

  • I would hate to see you drop that screw driver into the timing cover. The only way you are going to properly adjust that idle is by grounding the timing pin. You're pissing in the wind just turning the biss. Have fun.

  • god i miss that sound.....what size turbo if you dont mind me asking i had to guess i would say a 60 trim or a lil smaller....sounds like beast though....good luck keeping it on the road definetly worth the wild

  • you made me nervous putting your hand near the exhaust mani. I have so many scars on my hands from doing that. :(

  • ke valor pa meter la mano hasta el codo frente al manifold, esas makina trabajan a muy altas temperaturas, apenas ke estuviera frio y recien prendido.... esas makina arden las weyas... 4g63T rlz

  • sounds good.

  • wth you guys tryin' to do??

scary belts movin, boiling radiator hoses, glowing manifolds, spoolin turbo,...... dam... crazy peeps.... :

  • i think its a 4g63 but im not shure

  • its a 4g63 probably a 6 bolt and its spelled sure

  • never heard of the 6 bolt swap i guess.

  • If it's the factory 98 shortblock, then it's a 7 bolt. Nowhere do I see that says he swapped it.

  • I just said that because this guy above me said that it is for sure a 7 bolt. No where on here do I see that it is a 7 bolt. Just says 2.3 and most people don't throw that kind of money into a 7 bolt.

  • DONT BURN YOURSELF! sticking your hand down like that...lol...watch those cams mayne!!!!!! hahaha

    nice sounding car bro.

  • huh? didnt know the cams where down by the turbine housing?

  • lol.

  • wat engine is it?

    it sounds nice

    one for my GSX

  • Hey I was going to buy Stabilizer does that really help I have a 95 gsx Eclipse

  • Sounds like a montser! Love it!
