Somu used to render many rare ragas such as Gomethakapriya, Triveni,Kuvalayabharanam,Kumar­apriya, Trinetrapriya, Jatadhari, Sumaneesaranjani, Kadaram, Gopikathilakam, Urmika, Rishipriya etc and the list goes on.
