Is there some place where this video isn't recorded from a screen? All the background noise and funky lighting correction really screws up the quality.

Sonic R is said to be the worst sonic game ever. This is easily the second worst sonic game ever. Silver the Hedgehog? Really? All they have to do to make a hedgehog character is just take a 2 syllable word that begins with the letter S. For example: Sulfur the Hedgehog, Sandwich the Hedgehog, Sneezy the Hedgehog, Sicko the Hedgehog. If they can get rid of big the cat, why is it so hard for sega to just get rid of silver?

Why didn't Sega learn from Sonic Adventure that no one likes having a stupid hub world? Sonic Adventure 2 was good because it didn't have one, but Sega decided that this Sonic should have it. Nothing like having a stupid hub world which gives you little to no direction on where to go.
@SONICBOYREBORN234 I don't know how you liked Adventure 1's hub. It hardly gave any direction on where to go and you usually spent most of your time in there trying to find out how to access the next stage. I liked Adventure 2 where it just had the map where you picked your level.

It has a map in the pause menu, there are fuckin people EVERYWHERE that give you hints if you READ, and Tikal is ALWAYS in that same spot to tell you even an EASIER hint of where to go. I'm sorry, but if you can't navigate your way through Sonic Adventure, you have no place in the adventure genre at all. SA2 is my favourite 3D Sonic game, but it is way to linear.

@njdevils17And Unleashed Hub was even easier, since you could have different questions to ask people when you talk to them......THEY TELL YOU EXACTLY WHERE TO GO. Plus, both SA1 and Unleashed gave a sense of realism, without tarnishing the experince like 06. There is always different stories that go on that develop everytime you talk to a towns person, and really fun missions to go through, and you can pretty much do whatever you want. Plus, exploring the Egg Carrier is so addicting :3
@TJhoseph504 You know, if you would have done atleast SOME research to know what I was talking about, you would know that the deadline of the game was rushed to be released at Christmas and for 360's outing because of Microsoft. Sega knew the game was not finished, but Microsoft HAD to rush them. The PS3 version came out a little later, so they were able to fix some of the slowdowns. But it's still the same game. Idiot.... i think i get it now. they game was barely started when the trailer was made. and since they were being rushed they worked harder and faster not adding small details that would have the game better and they couldnt double check it. it was sonics 15 anniversary they wouldnt have made a bad game they would have tried to make it perfect

Shadow's story isn't so bad, but the rest of the plot is just retarded Final Fantasy crap that's out of place for a Sonic game. Sonic's story is tedious because you go around saving the princess only for her to get kidnapped again and you play levels that don't even add to the plot in the first place.

Anything that is similar to Final Fantasy is awesome and is what all of the storys should be. Sonic is better off in a serious and epic setting and story when it comes to the 3D games.

So much potential and this trailer shows it all. I feel really bad for Sega...they had a huge game to work with and too little time to finish it. If this game had like 7 months- 1 year extra development, this game would have been EXCELLENT. The fact that Yuji Naka left during the game's development didn't help much either. =/
I always see people saying that the reason this game was a fail is because they were rushed to a deadline. Yea, is it maybe because they dicked around their time with making Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Tails, Knuckles and Amy levels instead of just Sonic that they weren't' ready by the deadline?
It wasn't their fault. It was Microsoft's fault for rushing them and it was Naka's fault for abandoning Sonic Team despite being the Main Programmer for the game. Besides the games are better with lots of playable characters.

The priginal plan was to have another sonic adventure (game structure wise). there was a story mode for every sonic character along with additional gems (one that would let you voluntarily enter super form at all times), along with extra tuning to the basic game mechanics. However because of the rush they stopped at silver and then shipped the game off. The original deadline was 07 but sony and microsoft forced them to rush it.
Don't buy the game the ending to it is basically saying nothing happened and sonic doesn't know elise and she doesn't know him and yeah just don't buy this game it's not worth it...UNLESS You buy the add on content then it's worth it a little bit, but i'll give it that...

This goes to show that ST used the same awkward running animations for their trailer in the game itself. I know that the game was rushed to the most insane level but this is just ridiculous. Glad this practice seems to be long over.
If only they remade this game with all of the things that the people wanted and with the newer sonic models. If they kept the gems or made new ones and included the rainbow gems, made the loading times at least 3 times shorter, and made the game less glitchy, and made sonic faster, the game would be so awesome

OMG people Sonic 06 was a decent game. I liked it. Sure there could be some improvements but if they actually went and made the game, NO.. if they made a game NOW like this trailer, Sega will finally have revived Sonic! Not saying Sonic 4 wasn't bad neither Sonic Colors, but still. If Sega made a new Sonic game look as Bad-Ass as this trailer, Sonic will be alive once again! :)

@pkstarstorm1up Actually, yes it does. The plot is tedious in Sonic's story, stupid in Silver's... Shadow's story isn't so bad, but the rest of the plot is just retarded Final Fantasy crap that's out of place for a Sonic game. To save space in this comment, I'm only going to explain why I hate Sonic's story. Sonic's story is tedious because you go around saving the princess only for her to get kidnapped again and you play levels that don't even add to the plot in the first place.

@Amurutimate No it doesn't. The plot is very emotionally engaging, well thought out, and epic. There is nothing tedious or stupid about any of it. Anything that is similar to Final Fantasy is awesome and is what all of the storys should be. Sonic is better off in a serious and epic setting and story when it comes to the 3D games.

And I have the same problem in Mario games where Bowser always kidnaps Peach, so it's not a double standard. "Emotionally engaging"? How? Because a human princess randomly falls in love with a anthro hedgehog she just met two days ago? Sonic is not better in a serious tone if it comes off forced and out of place.

If this game had like 7 months- 1 year extra development, this game would have been EXCELLENT. The fact that Yuji Naka left during the game's development didn't help much either. =/

I always see people saying that the reason this game was a fail is because they were rushed to a deadline. Yea, is it maybe because they dicked around their time with making Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Tails, Knuckles and Amy levels instead of just Sonic that they weren't' ready by the deadline?

It wasn't their fault. It was Microsoft's fault for rushing them and it was Naka's fault for abandoning Sonic Team despite being the Main Programmer for the game. Besides the games are better with lots of playable characters.

The priginal plan was to have another sonic adventure (game structure wise). there was a story mode for every sonic character along with additional gems (one that would let you voluntarily enter super form at all times), along with extra tuning to the basic game mechanics. However because of the rush they stopped at silver and then shipped the game off. The original deadline was 07 but sony and microsoft forced them to rush it.

Huh. I vaguely remember seeing screens for this trailer but not the actual thing. THIS was to their hype? This goes to show that ST used the same awkward running animations for their trailer in the game itself. I know that the game was rushed to the most insane level but this is just ridiculous. Glad this practice seems to be long over.

If only they remade this game with all of the things that the people wanted and with the newer sonic models. If they kept the gems or made new ones and included the rainbow gems, made the loading times at least 3 times shorter, and made the game less glitchy, and made sonic faster, the game would be so awesome

OMG people Sonic 06 was a decent game. I liked it. Sure there could be some improvements but if they actually went and made the game, NO.. if they made a game NOW like this trailer, Sega will finally have revived Sonic! Not saying Sonic 4 wasn't bad neither Sonic Colors, but still. If Sega made a new Sonic game look as Bad-Ass as this trailer, Sonic will be alive once again! :)

for a fraction of a second when the red targetting screen was on sonic i saw a small flash and from the dark purple/blue color he was and his shoes turned partially yellow he really looked like darkspine for a fraction of a second.
