Funny how we rarely hear of how men are at the bottom as well making up over 3/4 of suicides, over 80% of the homeless. Women control over 70% of all money and live longer. There is no way in American culture that two employees one male, one female employed at the same company, at the same position and work the same hours that one would get paid less. I think that pay rate should be equitable in the sense that both candidates meet the requirements.
Is their a difference yes, I have worked as a field technican/computer technican and have personally seen it. Rising in a company with manual or stressful labour "dirty work" is usuall given to men as women are weak.
Once I gained respect from fellow collegue, we got along great but the oppurtunities were still limited. I worked 12 hours days sometimes and have lifted material above 50 lbs and was asked if I was straight.
If someone can't see the social demographics of gender roles and how they affect gender neutral individuals as myself, then you are blind. Although on the other hand I will not deny some can exagerate on the difference, women are also to blame for not working the physical aspects.

Community resources are irrelivant, and nonexistant 60 years ago when these problems didn't exist.
(Stop the belief that more socialism / big gov't intervention / education will some how miraculously solve the problem)
All thats needed is 2 parent households, and power restored to parents again (eg, booting morinic laws that spanking a disruptive teen lands you in jail.)
They teach kids to defy parents in our very schools - 1 small part of the equation.

The Mosuo culture defies categorization within traditional Western definitions. They have aspects of a matriarchal culture, in that women are, in many households, the head of the house, property is passed through the female line, and women tend to make the business decisions. But political power tends to be in the hands of males, which disqualifies them as a true matriarchy.

Men actually earn about 80% what women earn when you adjust for the difference in hours worked and whatnot. If a woman never marries and never has kids, she'll make $1.25 for every dollar that a never-married man with the same education and experience makes.

The point is the political system profits from angry women. The myths are made public, and politicians toss money at womens groups to expand their bureaucracy.
This is ultimately part of the equation which explains why so many western women are mad, angry, on massive amounts of antidepressants, and holding contempt for men.
Bullshit needs to get put in its place.
