I like the simplicity of this one, I know that like older special needs children can use your songs to learn stuff too, I wouldn't be surprise if special education teachers used your songs too.
@bulletproofpunk I've been pleased to learn that even adults who are just beginning to learn English find these songs helpful in memorizing some of the basics.
@MsCalderonk I'm so glad to hear it. Thanks for letting me know. I get pretty "beat up" sometimes by wisecracking tweens who have no idea about early childhood education, so it's nice to see a compliment.
@orenco I have to recite the days of the week in French until I come to the one I want to use in a sentence. I imagine it's the same for those whose native language isn't English.
@Grancie48 Well this worked, 8 months passed and I know the days of the weeks, if it's thanks to you or not I can not re-call but anyway you have my appreciation.
God, Almighty has created the world (earth and sky) in 6 days...then took up his throne...He is omnipowerful and Does not experience any fatigue....so He didn't rest!! God Has made us Know Him through the completeness of his Beautiful Names..!!!............Thanks for the song...really nice!
my song my teacher sang was "days of the week ( clap Clap) x3 , Theres sunday and theres monday theres tuesday and theres wednesday Theres es thursadey and theres friday And then theres SATURDAY , Days of the week ( clap clap ) X3
@asilave515 I know the song to which you're referring. It's sung to the tune of the Addams Family TV show theme song. You can also snap your fingers in place of the claps. It's a fun song.
actually... before the calander was changed ... Saturday was and is the 7th day of the week. Its just that most churches couldnt be bothered going back to that as the day of observance!
Is it possible to have this song available in PowerPoint (free printable download)? I teach at a very religious school where any kind of video is not allowed. Also, I'm from Brazil.
Would it be possible for you to provide this material, please? Thank you very much!
Thank you. Young children were originally my intended audience when I wrote these songs, but I have been pleasantly surprised to find that English language learners from around the world have also found them useful.

Many, maybe even most, countries use calendars that start on Monday. I like this mostly because it keeps the two weekend days together, making it easier to write in weekend plans.
However, in the U.S.A. calendars begin the week on Sunday, which is why this song puts the days in that order.
@KeswickCamp08 actually... before the calander was changed ... Saturday was and is the 7th day of the week. Its just that most churches couldnt be bothered going back to that as the day of observance!
You might try writing the names of the days of the week, one under the other, on a piece of paper, then reciting (or singing) the days in order. After a few times, you could ask her to find "Monday", for example, then praise her ability to read it. Another activity might be for her to match strips of paper, each with one of the days on it, to the list containing all the days.
Music can be so useful in calming a child. My daughter would play a CD with instrumental lullabies every night when putting my grandson to bed. She packed that same CD wherever they went to keep his bedtime routine consistent.
I really like this video. The presentation makes learning the days of the week interesting...for my daughter, I mean. I already know the days of the week!
This is a great video. Not too overwhelming, catchy tune, built-in movement and I love the embedded social skills. I work with special needs preschoolers and this is great for them. Thanks so much for this!
I'm glad you find this video useful. Depending on his age, your son may also begin to identify the words by sight. If I remember correctly, children can visually memorize around 60 words before they begin any phonics instruction. Isn't he lucky to have such a dedicated mother!
