actually there are too many ways to clean that spilt milk, there are many products specially designed for cleaning, the steam is a good method, one of the most simple ways though

Steam is actually great for leather. It literally restores the leather. Steam is water vapor only 5% water. The proper way to do it is put a microfiber rag in front of the nozzle and spray through it so it pics the dirt up at the same time.
Steam cleaning isn't meant for leather or plastic. It can actually damage the leather. A wet paper towel should have been more than sufficient for dried milk.
What is the machine your using & have you used it on other toucher jobs besides milk? It looks like it works pretty good but seems like it leaves behind a little more water than others i've seen.
