@jamocha101: Gideon was a judge of Israel MANY years ago. God chose him to lead Israel in a war against Midian. They had an army of only 300 guys against over 120,000. God told them to only bring a torch, a horn, (parodied as flashlights and tubas in the movie) and a jar (to hide the flame of the torch until they were ready), but no weapons.

Long story short, God did a miracle, and the Midianites were defeated.

For the full story, look up Judges 6 and 7 in a Bible, or on a Bible search engine.
